‘Pray About It’: Sarah Huckabee Sanders Encourages People to Take ‘Trump Vaccine’
“Dr. Fauci and the ‘because science says so’ crowd of arrogant, condescending politicians and bureaucrats were wrong about more than their mandates and shutdowns that have inflicted incalculable harm on our people and economy. They also misjudged the Trump vaccine plan, which rolled out just as safely, quickly, and effectively as the Trump administration promised.”

It’s all about free will and personal choice.  Hopefully people will after prayerful consideration choose to take the Trump vaccine.  One can support taking the vaccine while at the same time advancing individual rights, personal and economic freedom, and religious liberty.  Reject controls and mandates.

‘Pray About It’: Sarah Huckabee Sanders Encourages People to Take ‘Trump Vaccine’

Tré Goins-Phillips July 26, 2021

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a Republican gubernatorial candidate in Arkansas, revealed Sunday she received a “Trump vaccine” months ago.

Sanders, who served as former President Donald Trump’s press secretary from 2017 to 2019, lauded her erstwhile boss for his work to make vaccinations widely available at breakneck speeds in an editorial published in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette .

In the piece, the 38-year-old politician condemned the “misinformation thrown at me by politicians and the media,” all of which made it more difficult, she said, to make a decision on whether to get vaccinated.

“What I found was simple,” Sanders wrote.

Sanders’ column comes as just north of 36% of the Arkansas population is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center .

The former White House spokeswoman said she ultimately made the decision to take the inoculation “based on the advice of my doctor.”

“I determined that the benefits of getting vaccinated outweighed any potential risks,” she wrote. “I was also reassured after President Trump and his family were vaccinated. If getting vaccinated was safe enough for them, I felt it was safe enough for me.”

“It was heartbreaking to witness men and women break down and cry with fear they would lose everything,” she added, referring to the pandemic lockdowns and draconian government restrictions. “It’s something I never want to experience again. I believe the Trump vaccine will help keep our state [Arkansas] open for business and our economy growing.”

While Sanders noted she “believe[s] in freedom and personal responsibility,” stating she understands those who have “expressed sincere concerns” about the vaccines, the gubernatorial candidate said she hopes people “will consider” the rising number of COVID-19 cases as they think about getting inoculated against the virus.

Sanders condemned the pundits and politicians who “have resorted to bribing, mocking, and even name-calling to coerce people into taking the vaccine.”

At the end of her column, she asked readers who haven’t received a vaccination to pray about it and consult their doctors on the issue.

“So to anyone still considering the merits of vaccination,” Sanders wrote, “I leave you with this encouragement: Pray about it, discuss it with your family and your doctor. Filter out the noise and fear-mongering and condescension, and make the best, most informed decision you can that helps your family, community, and our great state be its very best.”

Based on the advice of my doctor, I determined that the benefits of getting vaccinated outweighed any potential risks.

I was also reassured after President Trump and his family were vaccinated. If getting vaccinated was safe enough for them, I felt it was safe enough for me.

As a candidate for governor, I interact with thousands of Arkansans. Being vaccinated would not only protect me but others as well, particularly those at highest risk.

I love Arkansas, and care about our people. When small businesses first took a hit at the beginning of the pandemic, I knew we had to do something to help. So my husband Bryan and I launched the Arkansas 30 Day Fund, raising and donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to small businesses across our state to keep their doors open and save jobs.

It was heartbreaking to witness men and women break down and cry with fear they would lose everything. It's something I never want to experience again. I believe the Trump vaccine will help keep our state open for business and our economy growing.

I believe in freedom and personal responsibility. Arkansans should not be told they can't work because their businesses or jobs are not essential. Our schools or churches should not be shut down. Large gatherings should not be banned. There should not be mandates to get vaccinated or to wear masks.

I understand that the decision to be vaccinated is deeply personal and not an easy one to make.

I have many friends who have expressed sincere concerns about being vaccinated, and it isn't my place to tell them what to do. But I also know that, like many others I've spoken with on the campaign trail, they are actively seeking information to help them make the decision that is right for them.

As the number of covid cases and hospitalizations once again rise exponentially in Arkansas, information is emerging that I hope people will consider.

Recent data demonstrates that those Arkansans who are not vaccinated are at significantly greater risk for serious illness from covid. In fact, 98 percent of covid patients currently hospitalized in our state and 99 percent of recent covid deaths were people who were not vaccinated. It's clear that the Trump vaccine works and is saving lives.

The benefits of getting vaccinated extend beyond protection from covid. Many of our hospitals are now dangerously close to maximum capacity due to rising covid cases. Our heroic doctors and nurses who have stood on the front lines of the pandemic need the ability to treat patients with other serious illnesses and emergencies as well.

Some pundits and politicians have resorted to bribing, mocking, and even name-calling to coerce people into taking the vaccine. But the truth is that many Arkansans who have concerns are simply trying to make responsible decisions for themselves, their families, and their communities.

So to anyone still considering the merits of vaccination, I leave you with this encouragement: Pray about it, discuss it with your family and your doctor. Filter out the noise and fear-mongering and condescension, and make the best, most informed decision you can that helps your family, community, and our great state be its very best.…

True.  If an American conservative had said something like that about one of the sacred cows of liberal mythology like Warren or Harris or Pelosi or the squad members, the American secular progressive left elites on social media, lamestream news media, and academia would be ready to figuratively lynch said conservative with the cancel culture never to be forgiven or heard from again.

People refusing to get the vaccine or even discouraging it during a pandemic, among other things.

but I do know that "medical flip-flopping" and vagueness have contributed to vaccine hesitancy.

That only highlights the general stupidity people display. Because they see "vagueness" and such, thy react emotionally, irrationally,  and outright refuse to get the vaccine or spread misinformation about it. Some people dismiss medical information about the vaccine and virus, but instead readily accept any misinformation, especially if it plays on fears. Science is learning and dealing with Covid in real time. Of course information may be vague or uncertain along the way. But as we learn more, then the available information becomes increasingly solid and valid. We know a lot more now about the virus and vaccine now than we did a year ago. At this point, if one continues to refuse to get the vaccine or follows the misinformation out there, then that is being stupid.

With growing spread of the more transmissible Delta variant, cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are once again rising, largely among unvaccinated people. Persistently lower vaccination rates among Black and Hispanic people compared to their White counterparts across most states leave them at increased risk, particularly as the variant spreads.

"MY BODY, MY CHOICE" seems to be biting the Biden Administration, CDC, and national teacher union presidents in the ass as are months of contradictory, mixed messaging regarding masks, vaccines, in-school education for our least vulnerable ... our children.

PS - I have no skin in what's become a political game, because my family and I chose vaccinations in January 2021 and no longer need masks. In future, we might need a booster, but that's typical for many viruses (for many decades, I needed a smallpox vaccine every time I traveled to/from a foreign country). The scientific data is still unknown regarding Covid-19 boosters.

It's not people choosing to get the vaccine that's the problem. It's those choosing not to (and those spreading misinformation about the vaccine) that are the problem. I've already said that. And it's not the "Trump vaccine." It's the Moderna/Pfizer/J&J vaccine. I don't see Trump's name on any of them. See, that's misinformation as well as a lie, which is part of the problem.

It is the Trump vaccine.  It happened on his watch with his efforts and encouragement.  If you truly think more people need to be vaccinated for the benefit of the whole nation and persuading people to take the Trump vaccine without trying to deny it would be the best choice.  Trying to deny the Trump role in getting it done is only going to increase vaccine hesitation.  We will not sell it to the public that still needs to take it without calling it that.  That is the prerequisite to us cooperating and participating in the effort. It was Biden and Harris who initially talked down the vaccine for political reasons when it was the Trump vaccine.  It still is the Trump vaccine.  I won’t sell getting it to anyone else except as that.  Period.  The TRUMP VACCINE!

Prayer has been proven to do absolutely nothing aside from making someone feel good. If prayer worked, Covid would have been eradicated a long time ago. Sanders is an idiot and no one should take medical advice from that cockeyed cow.

At the end of the day, vaccines work. In the last two months, 99%+ of the people that have died from covid were unvaccinated. My son-in-law and his wife are both currently battling covid, (I was told last night), both are RN's that take care of covid patients. Neither was vaccinated because they said they were being, "very careful". Also, his wife's parents, (extreme evangelical right wingers), told them that "God told them to not get the vaccine", because, "he would protect them". I guess now they will have to try prayer, which will have the same effect.

Yes, they have. Religion has historically been hostile towards anyone who challenged dogma, especially when religion wielded considerable political and social power. European history is a testament to that.

It was only when science advocates using logic and reason as a dogma of its own to try to be a religion that some science worshippers made religion their enemy.

That shows a profound misunderstanding and ignorance of science. Science doesn't make or deal with dogma. Neither is it a religion. That has been explained to you many times now. I'm not sure why you fail to understand that.

We saw the end result of logic and reason alone during the French and Russian revolutions.

If her words gets one more shot in an arm what is the big deal with who delivers the message?  This is the problem with the pandemic, it's been so politicized from the beginning that half the people will bitch about what someone from the other side says even though both sides are saying to get the vaccine.  What a fucking world when so many people just want to shoot the messenger rather than look and discuss the message.

I guess what gets me is what took her so long? Had she, Trump, and other people on the right that (for some reason) conservatives listen to been preaching get vaccinated all along we could be done with this bullshit. But they have been more interested in scoring political points this whole time and now we are having another resurgence being driven by those who won’t get the vaccine.

I guess they waited so long and played so many fucking games that things like this just kinda ring hollow now. I hope more people get vaccinated and her words help, but goddamnit. They waited til the fire spread to several houses before deciding to call the fire department.

According to CBP/ICE, thousands of eligible illegal aliens (30%) who now live throughout the USA refused free vaccinations when they entered at the southern border.

It seems based on the reactions of some, it would be better that some never get vaccinated than to have articles written like the one I seeded out in the public domain to do the persuading.

… Dr. Fauci and the “because science says so” crowd of arrogant, condescending politicians and bureaucrats were wrong about more than their mandates and shutdowns that have inflicted incalculable harm on our people and economy. They also misjudged the Trump vaccine plan, which rolled out just as safely, quickly, and effectively as the Trump administration promised.

When the Trump administration initiated Operation Warp Speed in May 2020, the president stated that a vaccine would become available by December of that year at the very latest. From the moment he made his announcement, the “expert” class tried to undermine those statements with baseless fear-mongering.

The New York Times ran an opinion piece claiming that whatever the Trump administration released would likely be a dangerous political stunt. CNN did the same. But no one did more to undercut public confidence in the vaccine than Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Biden doubted that the vaccine would be “real,” while Harris said in a nationally-televised debate that she would not take any vaccine the Trump administration had a hand in creating.

We all know what happened after the first vaccines were announced on Nov. 9, right after the presidential election. Scientists quickly began to praise the results of Operation Warp Speed, but by then the damage was already done. Because of what they heard from politicians and TV “experts,” many Americans were scared the vaccines were not safe.

If President Biden, Vice President Harris, and others on the left truly care about increasing the vaccination rate and saving lives, they should admit they were wrong to cast doubt on Operation Warp Speed and give President Trump and his team the credit they are due for the development of a safe and effective vaccine in record time.

Here is an idea, don’t be a dick head, get the vaccine and then we can finally move past the pandemic. Be a responsible citizen instead of a selfish prick.

Who said I’m trying to persuade anyone? If you refuse to get the vaccine then fuck you, you are being a selfish prick.

I have no tolerance for the anti vaccine bullshit. If your immune system is compromised or you are too young then okay, I get it, any other reason is just a way of saying “I’m an asshole and don’t much care about those around me.

“Dr. Fauci and the ‘because science says so’ crowd of arrogant, condescending politicians and bureaucrats were wrong about more than their mandates and shutdowns that have inflicted incalculable harm on our people and economy. "

That may be one of the stupidest things a public figure has uttered in recent memory.

The implication of her words is that there is a competitor source of knowledge to science

‘because science says so’

and while that may be true in areas unrelated to science, it is not true when it comes to things like medicine and treatment of contagions.

I think I have said several times how surprised I am that more Trump supporters haven't been pushing the "Trump vaccine" all along. The partisan collective about-face we have seen with the vaccine is mad.
