Re: Brett Kavanaugh Confirmation

Dear Chairman Grassley

I have become deeply concerned as I have watched the outrageous spectacle taking place during and now after the confirmation hearings. One can understand the need to accommodate someone who is making an allegation of attempted sexual assault, in spite of the fact that the individual waited 36 years and wanted to do it anonymously while working through and with the democratic party. I also realize the politics being employed by the left, the optics of offending the "Me Too" movement.

I ask that you will consider how much you have allowed the minority party to debase the integrity of the US Senate, an institution that I know you love. Allowing theatrics and baseless allegations does not help the image Americans now have of Congress. Changing every deadline for a new round of demands only plays into the hands of those who are determined to defeat the confirmation process. As for the well orchestrated political game the democrats are playing, let us examine that for a minute. It is really a two pronged attack. First is the obvious attempt at delaying the vote. Second is the most common tactic of the left, appealing to a particular group, in this case the women, whom liberals regard as trained seals. In the minds of Chuck Schumer and Diane Feinstein one false move by you will trigger a backlash at the polls by the "Me Too" movement. That is the "movement" which had it's origins in the corruption of Title IX by Barak Obama. That was when schools and universities were intimidated into denying "Due Process" to the accused. Progressives have done so much damage to our society, haven't they? There is nothing to be gained by playing along. Any woman so indoctrinated has already made up her mind and will give her vote to the liberals next month. There is nothing to be gained by embarrassing the US Senate any further.

You have nothing to fear, you have already done all you possibly can to give an out of the woodwork, last minute accuser, a time and place to tell her story and give specific details of her allegations.

It is at long last time to take a vote.

Respectfully yours,

Vic Eldred

Nope, Grassley walked into another liberal ambush.
