Planes, Cows and Cortez
"At the end of the day, this is an investment in our economy that should grow our wealth as a nation, so the question isn't how will we pay for it, but what will we do with our new shared prosperity

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AKA Little Miss Space shot) has released an outline of her notorious plan, "the Green New Deal", today. Rep Ed Markey (MA) will join her in introducing this nonbinding resolution in the House of Representatives today.  The proposal is somewhat radical, expansive and expensive (est 7 Trillion), though Ms Cortez dosen't mention cost, (nor does she concern herself with such trivia) she considers climate change to be "the single biggest national security threat for the United States and the single biggest threat to worldwide industrialized civilization."

The resolution seeks to shift the entire US energy supply from fossil fuels (which the US is now self sufficient in) to renewable energy - within 10 years!!! Noteworthy would be the elimination of cow flatulence,  reducing air travel and providing a source of income for those unable or even unwilling to work!

What an idea!

Also today Speaker Pelosi announced the creation of a "special panel on climate change". (Ms Cortez is not on it, supposedly, she declined). Pelosi refered to the "Green New Deal" as a "suggestion". When asked about her feelings on it Pelosi said “The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is but they’re for it right?”

Perhaps Pelosi knows what Ms Cortez dosen't - The American people may not be ready or willing to drastically transform the nation and that the Senate and the President would have to approve this insane monstrosity. Yet some democrats in the House have signed on!

Maybe this is more about 2020 than actually trying to accomplish such a pipe dream without much public support???

The main points from Business Insider:

  • Funding projects and strategies to build the US's capacity to face climate-related disasters.
  • Repairing and upgrading US infrastructure "by eliminating pollution and greenhouse gas emissions as much as technologically feasible."
  • Switching the country's energy supply to use "clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources."
  • Enacting measures to reduce or eliminate pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from farms, transport systems, and manufacturing.
  • Upgrading buildings to be more energy-efficient.
  • Protecting more ecosystems.
  • Cleaning hazardous-waste sites.

Rumor has it that she wants to propose a "breathing tax" since the exhalations of over 7 billion people worldwide adds tons of CO2 to the atmosphere!

so the question isn't how will we pay for it,

People don't say this unless they've spent a long time spending other people's money.

Let's don't assume they're mutually exclusive.  She's spent precious little time actually paying her own bills.

Noteworthy would be the elimination of cow flatulence

Okay, how are you going to eliminate a NATURAL process?  Are you going to kill all the cows?  If so, how do you propose to utilize the corpses to prevent decay, more methane from that decay, and overall wasted space for those corpses that are unable to be utilized?

Scares the heck out of me to think what she would try to do to the military....

Her ideas of arming the military are giving them the classic cap guns with the strips or the guns that unfurl a flag that says "BANG!"

Although there aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe this...… person...…. my Fav. is Pelosi's go-to response about Democrat …. issues.

Pelosi = "I see NOTHING, I know NOTHING, I hear NOTHING" !

Joe Biden is one of them. Obama may not even endorse him should he dare to run for the Presidency.

I think it'd hypocritical for dems to nominate a white man

Some scared old white guys out there.

A lot of ding bat progressives out there.

Rep Ilhan Omar proving my point.....

This is an outrage. I'm hearing from TSA workers back in Minnesota who STILL haven't received backpay after the shutdown.

To be followed a hour later by another tweet calling for the defunding of the DHS.

More proof that most Democrats run on feeling instead of facts.
