WASHINGTON (AP) — Melania Trump says she's ready to serve another four years as first lady if her husband is re-elected.
She says, "I love what I do."
The first lady revealed her intentions during a question-and-answer period Monday with students at Albritton Middle School at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Mrs. Trump and the wife of Vice President Mike Pence, Karen Pence, traveled together to tour the installation and meet students as part of their focus on military families.
Both women said they would serve again when asked if they wanted to.
The first lady says, "I think our husbands are doing fantastic job." She adds that it's a "privilege" and "great honor to serve and I will be here."
Mrs. Pence says she would continue in her role, too.

I believe that most first ladies want to create long-lasting, successful programs as their legacies, but I don't know of any in recent history who have succeeded.
“Lady Bird” Johnson - Highways and roads are still filled with litter and signs.
Betty Ford and Nancy Reagan - Alcohol and Illegal Drugs initiatives. Another failure even though the stigma of addiction is greatly reduced.
Hillary Clinton - Focused on healthcare, and we still have a disaster.
Barbara and Laura Bush - Literacy. We still have millions of illiterate students "graduating" from high school.
Michelle Obama - Childhood obesity. We can't change children's eating habits unless parents agree to follow through at home. It's pretty safe to assume that most American kids aren't fans of tofu, kale, veggie burgers, and skim milk and don't eat like that at home. Also, she didn't address genetics as part of the obesity equation.
Melania Trump - Her "Be Best" initiative consists of 3 focuses for our children that other first ladies had and expands them to meet 21st century issues: overall well-being (physical and mental/psychological), online safety, and opioid abuse but she's been ridiculed from the first day and still is. Imagine that.
