The Biden Reality Check
Joe Biden is the front-runner by every measure — except big crowds. The former veep is leading the Democratic field in all the important categories except one. He’s dominating in the polls, his fundraising is going gangbusters and he’s showing broad support from key political players in the early presidential states.

I'm sure many have forgotten when I said that Joe Biden wouldn't last long as the front runner in the democratic presidential race. The national polls kept showing that he was out in front at all times. Even the democrats in the House who used their unique brand of progressive reasoning, surmised that the President was trying to dig up dirt on what was obviously his chief rival (as they described him). It even looked like old Vic may have been wrong about this one! Here's the thing - there is one sure fire way to verify when a poll is right or wrong - crowd size!

Exhibit A:

"Joe Biden is the front-runner by every measure — except big crowds. The former veep is leading the Democratic field in all the important categories except one. He’s dominating in the polls, his fundraising is going gangbusters and he’s showing broad support from key political players in the early presidential states."

Now that we know Biden finished fourth in Iowa, we again wonder about polling. The polling seems to be evolving now as we find Biden polling 4th in NH. Biden of course is still counting on the black vote in South Carolina.

The lesson of this is simple. When a candidate is drawing tiny crowds yet polling as a front runner, you can believe your eyes over the polling. We already learned what a winner looks like - that's the guy who fills arena's when polling claims he can't win!

No and a few others could have used the advice. Biden's candidacy is starting to look like the Democrats' week: a total disaster, short on ideas to actually help Americans.

Pete is gonna suck up all his moderate oxygen.

Ya, Pete's going to be the moderate candidate for now. Democrats don't seem to have what Republicans have in their candidates. I don't think any of the democratic candidates are liked by anyone. It's all about trying to beat Donald Trump for them.

Obama told him not to embarrass himself.

Biden can't help himself. He forced the audience to give Mr. Vindman, who is known as insubordinate and a leaker, a standing ovation. He also said that killing Soleimani, an Islamic terrorist, was a mistake.

There are always points to be scored by going against the President. That is what many democrats were looking for with Biden. They feel he is moderate enough to win a general election. Yet in the 47 years of his political career he hasn't won a presidential primary. I don't think he is well liked by many democrats. He was simply viewed as the one who could oust Trump. Looking back at those national polls, they do look suspect now!

Trump has something the democrats don't - someone who generates genuine enthusiasm!

Don't think the American people are quite ready for an admitted socialist, or a gay guy with a husband, to be the president of the US, so old creepy Joe might luck out yet.

If Americans are ready for a lying orange draft dodger who is only out for himself and makes the racists and white supremacists happy, I'd say nobody knows any more.  I mean look at your post, trying to make Biden worse than a pussy grabbing misogynist who cheats on multiple wives and pays off porn stars.

I never thought I'd live to see the day when progressives would finally oppose draft dodgers!

Biden is incompetent and senile. Trump has produced for the nation. Case closed!

If Trump is, as you claim, a "draft dodger", so is Bill Clinton.

There are very real differences between a draft dodger and someone who gets a military deferment. Clinton and Trump had military deferments; therefore, neither were "draft dodgers".

Exactly when did Biden serve? you don't have to go back to Clinton.  He played sports in college, but had, Cough, Cough, childhood asthma?

Biden never served in the military. He had student deferments, just like Clinton had. He also had medical deferments, just like Trump had.

Biden played sports in high school, college, and law school.

I may as well be the dick and put this here. I think Pete can stay on a message and use his head and overcome - at least all his liberal rivals. When it comes to Trump he could prevail by avoiding the pig-wrestling trap that others fall into by ignoring chickenshit. He's the smartest of the bunch, anyhow.84677199_2850319695027670_6402445711639576576_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&_nc_ohc=y1ngZnRcHkwAX9n2zRl&_nc_ht=scontent.fabe1-1.fna&oh=d1547facb9911940db1fde4b262eaafc&oe=5ECEF9C8

Biden's done.  It's just a question of when he announces it.  No money and no wins in sight spell the end.

He was probably hurt the worst of anyone by the focus on Ukraine.

I still want to know why he went home to DE and left Jill to fend for herself in NH before a mega-crowd of around  20 people this week!

The whistle blower, Congress and the US media did what Trump was unable to accomplish by making the now infamous phone call  to the president of Ukraine … or did Trump accomplish what he set out to do by using the whistle blower, Congress and the US media to do his dirty work for him?  Haha : )

I think Biden's time to shine was 2016 .. in the 2020 race, he has been an absolute klutz in the debates .. Biden goes off on non cogent tangents when he feels threatened.  The focus on the events in the Ukraine may have caused Biden to make a 4th place showing - but it could be just the natural process of elimination.  I thought that I would be supporting Biden, but it did not take long before he did not seem electable to me   [had nothing to do with Hunter and his 'job'

Just my thoughts.....
