The Cancel Culture Mob Is Coming for Jesus
By: Leah Barkoukis
This is just sick. It shows the mental and moral depravity of the secular progressive cancel culture and the extent they intend to go to destroy everything about the exceptional Judeo-Christian heritage of our America and its divine providence founding.

The cancel culture mob is not content to stop at tearing down monuments, pressuring companies to change the marketing of their products , getting popular T.V. shows pulled, or having people fired for the sin of nonconformity to groupthink or in some cases, being related to the unpopular . No, now the Lord Jesus Christ is being targeted, too.
Progressive activist Shaun King called for images of Christ to be taken down because he argues they’re a form of “white supremacy.”
“Yes I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down. They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been,” King tweeted. “In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went? EGYPT! Not Demark. Tear them down.”
He continued: “All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends should also come down.”
King claimed the depictions are a “gross form [of] white supremacy” that were “created as tools of oppression.”
“They should all come down,” he urged.
As Dana Loesh aptly noted in response to King, "statism is the only religion in which skin color matters."
Anyone who thinks that identity would ever come into play doesn’t know Jesus, doesn’t know Scripture, doesn’t know God (1 John 2:4). The Gospels stress unity within the kingdom, there is no emphasis at all placed upon appearance or even customs. The physical appearance of Jesus has never had any impact on the teachings of Jesus, faith in Jesus, or anything else. His appearance is insignificant because it doesn’t change our faith in, our worship of, our relationship with Him. Any insistence otherwise betrays Scripture. We are children of God, period. The only identity that matters is being a child of God .

Shaun King: White Jesus is a “Tool of Suppression”
danaloesch.com
Left-wing activist Shaun King called Monday for the removal of statues, murals and stained glass windows that depict Jesus as a “white European,” which he claimed “are a form of white supremacy.”
“Yes, I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down,” King, a former surrogate on Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’s 2020 presidential campaign, wrote on Twitter. “They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been.”
King’s targeting of religious artwork comes as various activist groups have moved beyond tearing down Confederate statues and are now calling for the removal of other historical monuments.
“In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went?” he added. “EGYPT! Not Denmark. Tear them down.” (RELATED: Shaun King’s PAC Paid Two Consulting Firms $600K. Here’s Who’s Behind Them)
That about sums them up.
Just three words:
FUCK Shaun King
I have the bad language filter on but whatever you said, I agree!
Just further examples of the moral depravity of the hard core liberal left!
Moral depravity? How so?
The riots, looting, violence, flag burning, statue defacing, destroying mobs are the definition of moral depravity. There was no place for any Christian to be in any of that.
And is it your view that the peaceful protestors are morally depraved? And do you really want to talk Christianity and Christ-likeness with me or is that posturing? Because if you do let's go for it!
I am not very religious, but as long as they are not on public property leave them alone...what's next the Sistine Chapel....going too far with this.
And if such a statue or stained glass display were on public property?
Going after religious symbols simply because they were produced by Anglo-Saxon cultures (and thus use their own likeness rather than that of a first century Judeo man) is gratuitous and irresponsible.
It’s like the French Revolution on a smaller scale so far. It’s where their logic and reason lead them. But you are right about it being gratuitous and irresponsible. 👍
Enough! While I can see the "too much" factor at work here; this has been a long-running counter-cultural argument in the Black and other minority communities. The operative questions, plural, come in two forms?
1 . Jesus is of Jewish descent? Where is the proper Anglo-Saxon tie-in?
2 Why are images made of Jesus in the first place? (Seeing that he 'took' no pictures)?
3. Since the church has many Jewish scriptures followers , then Exodus 20:4 clarifies and answers the question:
4. The word picture given of Jesus (the coming Messiah) in Isaiah's prophecy:
Jesus was likely no more a 'pin-up poster model' for the ages, than an angel is a sweet-cheek cherub!
And no get me started on the depictions of "the baby Jesus."
Maybe you should have read the entire article and the references to cultural imaging of Jesus around the world...
Jesus is of Jewish descent? Where is the proper Anglo-Saxon tie-in?
A Jew?
Nope-- he was a blonde-haired Blue-eyed WASP...as "racially pure" as they come!
Why? Is Jesus a Spirit? Can you describe the "cultural imaging" of Spirit? Why did you deflect?
Krishna. . . . (Smile.)
I didn’t deflect. I merely pointed out that many cultures create their image of Jesus to match their own. So it’s racist and stupid to only find fault with whites for doing so too. Considering that Rome ruled the area where Jesus lived and the apostles and Paul took the message to Greece and Rome and that much of the Christian world outside of Europe fell to Islam is it really a surprise that it turned out that way?
An extremely common trait. The winning societies in history write history and pay for (control) the art and literature subsequently produced.
You have deflected and you continue doing so. All cultural images of spiritual beings are fake and egregious from a scriptural point of view. Do you agree? Jesus was not of Anglo-Saxon descent. Moreover, I know of no group who pictures Jesus as a Rabbi - do you?
Why imagine what the prophets did not bother picturing?
Reminds me of Muslims who got angry (during the Mohammed Cartoon Crisis) at people making pictures of The Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him). Which strikes me as ridiculous, because no living person knows what he looks like-- so how do they know that any of those pictures were of him?
However, if Jesus was indeed a Middle-Eastern-Jew, then he was a Caucasian-- and Dark-skinned. ("Olive-skinned") as are the indigenous peoples of the eastern Medditteranean).
Just as if you are a Caucasian American and convert to Buddhism-- you should admit the fact that The Buddha looked like an Asian-- not a Caucasian.
Personally, I don't care what "race" he was-- or what color eyes and hair he had, whether he was tall or short, etc. Rather, its His teachings that are important....
Friend Krishna was it race or religion, both, or neither for Jesus?
A Jew who founded a new religion.
he was a blonde-haired Blue-eyed WASP...as "racially pure" as they come!
The real photo please.
“They are a gross form white supremacy,” King wrote. “Created as tools of oppression. Racist propaganda. They should all come down.”
Reactions on Twitter were mixed. Some agreed with King’s position, while others pointed out that cultures other than white Europeans have depicted Jesus in ways that resembled the local community.
SHAUN KING: DEMOCRATS ARE RUNNING CITIES WITH TEH WORST POLICE BRUTALITY RECORDS
Ethiopia, for instance, has depicted Jesus as black for more than 1,500 years. Likewise, images of Jesus appearing Asian can be found throughout the Far East.

King was once a leading voice in the Black Lives Matter movement but fell from grace when his race was questioned and he was accused of being a Caucasian falsely portraying himself as black.
“I have been told for most of my life that the white man on my birth certificate is not my biological father and that my actual biological father is a light-skinned black man. My mother and I have discussed her affair. She was a young woman in a bad relationship and I have no judgment,” he wrote in 2015 amid reports that he misrepresented his race.

King was also a surrogate for Sen. Bernie Sanders', I-Vt., having introduced him at the kickoff rally in Brooklyn last year for his failed 2020 presidential bid.

Well, there you go. This guy's 'rap sheet' invalidates any thing he might ever suggest or hope to offer us! /s
So you favor the destruction of evangelical and Catholic Churches and their symbols as he suggests?
I don't understand what having a church has to do with idolizing fake images of spiritual beings. Maybe you can explain that to me. Are you willing to try? (My catholic "culture" is definitely weak and lacking.)
The Catholic religion is heavy on symbolism and ritual. They have a rich tradition which includes praying to Mary and to the many saints that they have proclaimed during the long history of the Catholic Church. The praying is actually to ask the saints to pray to God on their behalf.
i totally disagree with them on that. They removed the original 2nd commandment forbidding graven images and replaced the Bible alone with tradition and rituals. Lastly we can come to God on our own not needing saints to pray to God for us or men replacing God in forgiving our sins. That said, I’m totally opposed to seeing mobs, looters, and vandals desecrating and destroying their traditions.
Catholics do not worship Mary and the Saints as alternatives to God. Rather they see them as liaisons to God.
I know that about the saints. They do they’d toward Mary worship though.
Mary is special but is not considered a deity. She is simply a highly distinguished spirit due to her ostensibly giving birth to Jesus. Catholics do not pray to Mary for her to grant them anything other than to intercede on their behalf.
I think every religion has branched off into different denominations that have differing views. And each one is convinced that their way is the right way-- and the others are "wrong". (Well, except for certain of the more tolerant groups such as some of the Bahai, Quakers, Yazidis, Kurds, Buddhists, etc)
Seems they are taking a page from English history when the protestants destroyed monasteries and denuded churchs of stain glass etc. Not good.
They got an inch and look what is happening?
it’s really sad what’s happening. At least the President is now leading the resistance to this insanity
President Donald Trump is a fool on the wrong side of history. He is the champion of dead icons and relics. The youth of today have had enough of dead things struggling to spring back into life. Trump and Trump supporters are 'echoes' of the past fading out from the minds and spirits of the young en masse! Dead things fall down and stop moving already.
I can’t wait to see these young people locked up for 10 years for attacking the symbols of our history. Those people are our ISIS and Taliban who would destroy history and condemn us to repeat lessons lost.
You could do so much better if you made some distinctions in your symbol history for purposes of this discussion. (Smile.)
I have no problem at all comparing BLM and Antifa with ISIS and the Taliban. Not much difference in their desires to destroy culture and traditions.
Well that's just histrionics on your part! Trump supporters are all about removing the unalienable rights of others and not permitting them to thrive in this place where there is no law against them.
Talcum X ought to find a new tree to bark up.
I think you may ve mixing your metaphors?
(In any event I like my metaphors shaken not stirred!)
I am not religious, but; I appreciate the beauty and history of church art, stained glass and buildings, They should not be destroyed
I agree. For that reason.
But also for another reason -- whether or not a person is religious (or even an Atheist) we should respect the right of people to have their beliefs-- even if they are not the same as our own.
I appreciate the beauty in beautiful things. What I have never understood (don't even know that I can either) is why people do many things in violation of the 'spoken words' they say (with their lips) they wish to follow and obey. For example:
While I understand loosely that Catholics have many other books and writings than the Bible alone - It has left me wondering why the Popes, (the Vicar of God/Jesus on Earth) accept the observance of kissing their ring or any attempt at worship since they are only "a man." I do not know much about Catholocism, nevertheless.
(Ironically, a NT friend and I are preparing to have private discussions about Catholicism and this 'breaks' out. Go figure. ( Chuckles .))
The word 'tradition' goes a long way with Catholicism. (Most of my family and friends are Catholic.)
I have so many situations like that. Where a person is totally mystified as to why a person does something... (Of course after finding an explanation, it often makes sense to them)..
(People often don't understand things that others others do . . .although frequently I have observed that many people think they do understand something when they don't)
P.S: Are you sure the observance of kissing the Popes' ring is a form of worship? (I have to admit, though, that I don't know why they do it....religions are not one of my areas of expertise!
The word 'tradition' goes a long way with Catholicism.
Also with some Jews.
And the Chinese.
No, not sure as it stands today. But drawing off of the explanation of Acts 10:24
It appears to be an act of deference and reverence . The office of Pope descents from Peter. The Pope is called the Vicar of Christ (Christ's representative on Earth). Since Christ is worthy of worship as God, then it follows that acts of deference and reverence (kissing of the ring) to the Pope is some small part of worship.
However, I do not know what such an act as kissing the ring signifies to Catholics past and present. The act itself has always concerned me due to Acts 10:24 . . ."I am just a man." (Peter said.)

"The Cancel Culture Mob Is Coming For Jesus"
If they are coming for him, does that mean they know where he is?
But seriously, everyone paints their imaginary God/gods in familiar likenesses and European Christians were no different. Since no one can prove he existed, its rather hard to claim to know what he looked like so it can only be up to each artist creating personal renditions of their Gods.
