We already know that the 1% game the system, but some states are harder to game than others. California is most equitable; Texas and Florida are least equitable... which should surprise no one...
Kavika has told us about French-speakers in northern Michigan.
In 1919, the creation of a Jewish state was a thing. But apparently not for everyone...
This is apparently the "most common" religion... with no possibility of "none".
The ridiculous wrongness of the Electoral College couldn't be clearer.
Apparently, Texas is in an even worse position than California regarding the Electoral College.
" In Texas, meanwhile, each of the state’s 38 electoral votes represents the will of a whopping 763,000 Texans—the largest number for any state in the union. That tops even the electoral rip-off faced by the 38 million Californians every four years, who get an electoral vote to award for every 718,000 residents. The disparity is even more stark when you consider that there are 34 other states besides Wyoming with a smaller population than the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex alone."
In North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Michigan, and WI there are other various forms of French spoken. Michif/Cree, Metis, French/Cree, Bungi, and Bayet (I believe that Bayet has gone extinct.)
These languages are spoken in Canada as well, especially in Manitoba.
Lots of fascination information, here!

The Electoral College disenfranchises millions of American citizens.
Yup

I know of no justification for the EC. The Senate is supposed to protect the small states' rights, but I can't see any logic for the EC.

The language tops out at 10%. Unless there are spots that are a lot higher, it can't stand against English-language medal.
I've watched the same thing happen in Lorraine, in Eastern France, where German-based dialects have all but disappeared.
Just a bit further East, Alsatian thrives because there are newspapers, theaters, and so on.
