Iranian Regime Opponent Releases Document From Supreme Leader Khamenei's Office Ordering Transfer Of $4 Billion To His Son Mojtaba's Venezuelan Bank Account Following The Outbreak Of The Protests
On February 12, 2023, Hamid Mutashar, founder of the Ahvazi Liberal Party which is opposed to the Iranian regime, tweeted a document which he said was sent September 22, 2022 from the office of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The document ordered Central Bank of Iran governor Ali Saleh-Abadi to transfer the sum of $4 billion to the personal Venezuelan bank account of Khamenei's son Mojtaba.
The tweeted document claimed to be Khamenei's order was dated days after the outbreak of protests by young people in Iran following the death of Mahsa Jina Amini while in custody of Iran's morality police. The document refers to the "extensive wave of rioting" in Iran and "the security institutions' declaration of a Level Orange alert."
It is notable that the document refers to Mojtaba as "Ayatollah." It is anticipated that Mojtaba will succeed his father.
The following is a translation of the document alleged to have been sent from Khamenei's office to the Central Bank governor, as tweeted by Mutashar, followed by Mutashar's tweet.

The Ahvaz region in southern Iran is home to members of an Arab minority that is harshly oppressed by the Iranian regime. This region is also where most of Iran's oil and gas reserves are located. Several Ahvazi movements that operate in the region are calling for autonomy for its Arab population and even for liberation from the Iranian regime.
