Are These Batteries The Future Of Energy Storage?

There’s a huge number of lithium-ion battery alternatives in the works …
so many that it can be hard to keep track of them all.

Let’s take a look at 5 next generation battery contenders, if they’re overhyped, and when they might end up in our smartphones, homes, or EVs.

What does the future of energy storage look like for us beyond the tried-and-true lithium-ion battery?

The speed of invention and development can be a real problem for those of us who enjoy tracking tech.

The average "aware citizen" reads an article or sees a TV report on some aspect of tech, and then keeps that image in their mind... forever... or at least until another article supersedes it... perhaps long after it is out of date.

Matt Farrel's site is informative and enjoyable. It's not just EVs. It's cutting edge whatever.

I think all we can really be sure of is that technology will improve and the pace of that improvement will be faster as time goes by.  After all, it was 64 years from when the Wright brothers had their first flight to the first manned space flight.  And in the 62 years since that first manned space flight, how much more has technology changed?

It's an exciting time to be alive as technology is changing right before our eyes.  Just this morning I read a story about DARPA flying an AI controlled F16 for 17 hours.

It's a race to see if we'll destroy the world... or save it.
