One Night Stand

My 'o my what pretty eyes
My 'o my what pretty thighs
My 'o my what rapturous sighs
'O my my what furtive goodbyes
This is the kind of result you can expect when an engineer attempts to write poetry . Its the very 1st rhyming poem I've ever written . Haiku is a lot easier to me ...
I like it ! The potential for this thread as a poetry springboard is alive ...
Nice touch ! I had no idea there was so much low class talent on NT ...
That should be set to music ...
Your modesty at self evaluation is appreciated .
To call, to rest, to snuggle close upon your breast.
To heave, to sigh.....
No! Not in my eye!
Happy days.
Petey,
I like it...
It's longing and lustful
In so few words.
Bravo!
Charming BF.......
That was almost romantic ...
That was a finely crafted work . Almost like a beveled jewel box ...
Sailor's lament ?
Working in environmental topics ... niiiice !
April fool's day is over and so is this thread . BUT if you want to publish poetry on other topics feel free .
I'm really surprised at you two, ....(Petey and Robert)
You both did a great job,
Certainly no prob..
Nicely gathered a gob
Without using glue or Haiku!
Pie
Eye
Die
Try
Rye
....ok; I suck at poetry.
I personally would never have a One Night Stand.....not that I have any morals or that I'm better than any one else,...but hey, I do on occasion use both sides of the bed and only having one night stand creates a hardship on us uppity people.....
Any poem that has rye in it can't be all bad ... Don't ask me to elaborate .
Chloe ,
When did this sneak into the mix ? I see you like them thar complex rhyme schemes . But tell me what you mean by "gob" . Was this an attempt at eroticism ?
LOL!! ...a gob of words. Words can be erotic, tho, I know.
This has to be the best poem I have ever read. Ever. No, really.
Across the room she sat
I swooped her up like a cat
I took her home
We were alone
And when we awoke she left
I hope that is just your warmup for the Sara G & A. Mac's Author & Poets Challenge ...
