As a child and teenager, I remember all the wolves we had in MN, and along the MN Canadian border. I would listen to them howl. A haunting, but beautiful sound. I remember seeing them in the timber as they followed me when I was trapping.
Mother Nature created a masterpiece, that humans have disrupted. Now they are trying once again to kill of the wolf in Montana, MN. and other states. Not understanding their important link in nature. I belong to a couple of organizations that are fighting against the hunting of them again.
Once they roamed the entire US. Along with Buffalo and Cougar they have been nearly hunted to extinction in most of the US.
Maa'iigan is an important part of the Ojibwe creation story.
She has ambiv. She did have a problem a couple of months ago, 3 bladder stones, but the vet was able to get rid of them by changing her diet. Didn't have to have surgery..Thank goodness.

I was at a wolf sanctuary in CO last year and the statistics on dead wolves due to hunting are really really sad
