If any of your folks up there should happen to see a large glacier like object headed South, ask them to please let us know, so we've got time to duck.
Cool. Our polar bears in New Mexico must be real wimps compared to the real thing in Alaska. They do suffer in the summer and are given big blocks of ice to play with.
Even without considering the climate, it might be kind of difficult for even a zoo to duplicate her diet. The Midwest doesn't exactly have an overwhelming supply of seals and walruses.
Or we could get more immediate revenge for the cold air by going up there and drinking up all their beer. That would assume, of course, that any of us wanted to get any farther North than we already are.
I'm in Iowa, and yesterday I went to get the mail, and took 3 breaths the entire time. The first one froze my nose hairs, the second froze my uvula to the back of my throat , the third I took through my mitten and frozen tears falling from my glazed over frozen eyeballs! I almost passed out before getting back inside...We got -27 with -47 with wind chill and yikes!
I was thinking tonight, as I ventured out to a store, it's really nice out today . I looked at the temp on the car and it was -2 real temp. Perspective is so important! I actually saw 2 people wearing shorts . I probably will be this weekend, too--supposed to be 30-40 degrees on the positive side of things
You Cali snobs can't be bothered to consider the state of FLA . We had a day of cold weather here , just 1 . This time of year the hardier types can take a dip in the ocean in FLA , but not in Cali . That Humboldt current is c.c.c.c.cold ! Stay away from the water !
Oh BTW , the state of GA also stayed fairly warm ... Your map is lacking some details ...
You guys are getting your butts kicked. Stay close to home, cuddle with that hubby of yours and the kids, too. Stay warm, Ms A.
Come on Ahyoka, that's fairly nice weather. Your ancestors lived with that and colder, without the modern technology.
Warrord MN. Monday -42 without the wind chill. Today the high is -9, low -26.
For goodness sake JR, don't tell me he wears sunglasses.

I am now drinking a big mug of hot chocolate in your honor, MsA.

I wrote an email to a relative in Canada lodging a formal complaint . I'm hoping for legislative action from the Canuck govt ...

I will add that addendum to my correspondence :
Dear Canuck govt ,
We are willing to come to terms for lots of cases of Canadian beer . Comply soon to avoid to avoid an "international incident" ...
-9 here in NE Ohio this morning, wind chill -36. Luckily I remembered to bring in the brass monkeys last night.
Bulletin: Ohio Highway Patrol says Interstate 77 is hazardous driving-- lanes are blocked by flocks of penguins hitch-hiking South...
Moosehead anyone?
I'm in SE Michigan, so we have the exact same weather Swamijim.
Since the Federal Reserve started tapering quantitative easing, the outside temperatures have been receding.
Coincidence? I think not.
Janet Yellen, get busy at the Fed Reserve Window buying bonds, so we can all warm up!
Peace, Blessings and an Enormous Utility Bill for January. Enoch.
I keep hearing about this "vortex" that has descended over America. A Vortex? Really? Didn't they use that word in "The Day After Tomorrow"??????
Hi all!

I hope you are all staying warm and safe!
BTW, Ms. Aubrey, Hell looked pretty inviting, to me, anyways, yesterday
Sure they do. Its called a Happy Meal.
Smiles. Enoch.
Of course they did, Perrie, that's where the media got it from.
And Mrs. A., your title is rather deceptive, as the Bills are not even in the playoffs, they can't win the Superbowl, hence, Hell has not frozen over.
heh heh heh.
-27 with wind chill at -47. That's just cold. Chilly Chelli is your new name.
On the plus side , I expect all those windmills in your state are cranking out a lot of free power ...
Don't encourage him ...

They do have some very nice beaches up that way . But watch out during hurricane season ...
Gimme St. Croix any day. I'll take the occasional hurricane for 80* year-round with virtually 0 humidity.
Hell frozen over???.....are the lions going to the super bowl......lol
