Scientific Study -- The Secret Life of Cats
The BBC, in collaboration with the Royal Veterinary College, has completed a study of 50 house cats to learn what they do in a night of "catting around". The study has yielded some surprising results!

Some brief conclusions:
- Many cats have territorial ranges that overlap and are up to 7 acres in size.
- Cats accommodate one another, even their enemies, making sure that they don't cross the street at the same time, or meet in unexpected places.
- Many cats hunt, but not all of those that hunt bring their kills "home" to share with their families.
Where do your cats roam? Have any idea? My cats, (Pharaoh, Boo Bear, and Andy), are house cats, forbidden to brave the dangers out doors. So, their range is restricted, and unless we have another invasion of crickets, their hunting is limited.
The article also allows you to follow 10 cats, via small "critter cams"-- and what they do is amazing!

Interesting study! I was surprised on several levels, mainly on how far cats go, and how much "territory" they patrol...
Cats-- our friends, soul mates, and 'children'. The least tame of domestic pets!
Not surprising . A black cat can be very stealthy at night ...
They are a shadow, wrapped in an enigma, hidden by mystery!
The cats in this study were really cute!
Speaking of cute , I strongly advise EVERYONE to check out your entry in the cat group :
Riotous good fun !
Thanks! I thought it was a hoot!
I don't want to know where my cats go when I'm not home... Probably to play in the toilet
But I love em. I love dogs too as long as they aren't the biting kind, but I find cats have a mind of their own and are much more independent than dogs. I would say they are my favorite pets. I like their independence and find people who don't like cats have some sort of problem. Will not mention what.
I love both! They are so very different, and you're right-- cats are their own masters, and sometimes, we are allowed to share with them. But not often.
I agree with you, by the way, but, like you, won't get into that...
Those videos were really cool. Thank you.
I enjoyed them, too! Especially the whiskers...
