This guy really suprised me, then I started to gather his work. The above link is a "get" too. The Vienna concert was very well produced. Joe B also promotes on PBS. A plus IMO.
Surprised me too. The guy is roots through-and-through. Blues, Bluegrass, Folk---he does it all as good or better than anybody I've personally ever listened to. The Vienna concert is so well done, there was hardly any mastering to be done to put it out on recording. I also caughtit on PBS the other night; he had a herd of the finest acoustic guitars on stage,it wouldmake any player weep. Just fantastic!
Recently, I found a couple of 'recordings/albums' he did with Beth Hart, that are on my X-mas list now. He mostly plays, but with her singing, what else could he do?
