Derek Miller owns the Blues on ''Blues Vol I''.
I'm a lover of the Blues, and have a fairly large collection of Bluesmen. One of my favorites is ''Robert Johnson'' and Ihave aCD ofthe only songs of histhat were recorded.
I've followed Derek Miller for a while and he is a top Bluesman.

Here is a link to Jana Mashonee and Derek Miller together doing the old Sam Cooke song, ''Change is gonna come''.
Enjoy.
You can't beat the old artists - talk about soul - wow.
Mashonee and Miller together is quite the treat.
You should here her Christmas CD. Ten songs all in different Indian languages.
That was very good.
Ain't nuthin' but the blues baby...
Clapton did a tribute to RJ, called "Me and Mr. Johnson", which I though was well done.
Hi One,
''Ain't nuthin' but the blues baby''. That is right One,
I went to Clapton's concert on the blues, ''From the Cradle''. Excellent
''Me and Mr. Johnson'' was well done One. I really enjoyed it. Also enjoyed Clapton and B.B. King's, ''Ridin' with the King''.
Did you happen to see the video, Tribute to SRV'', with King, Clapton, Cray,Bonnie Rait, Dr.Johnand a couple of others? Worth watching.
No, but I will based on your recco...
One, here is the link.
That old Laura Nyro [?] song still has a lot of power . Jana did a fine performance of it ...
Not familiar with Laura Nyro. Sam Cook wrote the song in 63, and it was released after his death in 64.
Jana and Derek are great together on this song. As solo artists, they both are at the top of their game.
Thanks for stopping by Petey.
Guitar heaven on earth Kavika.
Happy that you enjoyed it One.
I really like some rockin' blues. Ever listen to Indigenous? I was actually looking Number Nine Train when I came across this:
Oh hell yes I know Indigenous. Nakota Sioux from South Dakota. Their dad was a pretty good musician as well.
Thanks for the link Steve.
We've loved them from the beginning.
Well worth loving Steve. Great Blues band.
Indeed they are.
Number Nine Train: Tarheel Slim
Indigenous: Mato Nanji
We used to live in Nambe, NM. Surrounded by quite a few pueblos. Lots to learn from them, and not just the blues.
Yup, there is a lot to learn from Indigenous people Steve. To bad more people don't take advantage of it.
Ever been to the ''Gathering of Nations''?
Two great versions of the song.
No, we never went. Just don't like going to the big city, although I live in one now. We always prefer just going out on our own and meeting talking with whomever we meet. Just get closer to people that way, ya know?
Yeah, I know. Raised in a tiny town, then 40 plus years in LA, now retired and living in a town of 1,000. Happy as hell.
