Wild Cards
I think the number of wild card detractors in MLB has reduced considerably this year. The combinations and permutations are awesome and many small market teams get a taste of the possibility of a post season.
My favorite is the Pittsburg Pirates and that has nothing to do with the fact I am a member of steeler nation. I am an avid Mets fan and have fond memories of the Mets climb out of the hole that they began digging in 1962.
That said I'm not a fan of the Dodgers or St. Louis or Atlanta ..... I might root for Cleveland in the AL - I like Francona ...
St Louis always seems to find it's way to the top of the heap ...which attests to the quality and depth of ownership and management more than the players.
The Dodgers seem to be the chalk - at least on paper - what remains to be seen is if the players are a team or if they each have stars in their eyes.
My wish for the series is Cleveland vs Pirates ....
