Housing: The Great Sandy Sell-Off
It seems to be quite the opposite . Discussed here are damaged properties being snapped up at a discount in large quantities . I guess not everyone perceives a danger from climate change .
They may find themselves regretting that choice. I know of many people who gave up water front homes on canals of the south shore, which is actually sheltered compared to this house. $36 grand from FEMA does not repair these homes and the insurance to keep them is insane.
Clearly the pull of owning oceanfront property is greater than the fear of future hurricane damage . Some things never change ...

Yes they may or may not . Only time will tell . How about you ? Are you planning on selling ?
