Stanley Cup Shot 11 Times During Victory Parade
CHICAGOOver the course of the 45-minute victory parade held Friday morning to celebrate the Chicago Blackhawks NHL championship, the Stanley Cup sustained nearly a dozen gunshot wounds, city police officials have confirmed. Multiple gun-wielding individuals, all appearing to operate independently, fired approximately 25 shots at the trophy, resulting in 11 direct hits, said Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy, who confirmed the famous trophys injuries may leave many of the names of past champions engraved upon it permanently illegible, including the entire roster of the 1999 Dallas Stars. We are seeking any information regarding the current whereabouts of the Cups assailants, as well as the identities of the 1.3 million revelers facing charges of public intoxication. Parade coordinators reportedly elected to continue the rally, stating that the crowds of Chicagoans did not seem at all fazed by the gunfire.

Have to take your humor where you can get it......
Only Chicago would do such a disgraceful thing.
Whoa ... and this in a city where it is illegal to have guns . That law does not seem to be working ... at all .
The bottom section (rings) is roughly a little more than half the total height (35) inches. Which makes this a pretty tight grouping for a drunken celebration.
Photoshop ammunition.
Oh crap . I missed the source . Nevermind .
What can I say ... I read the comment by Mike in Ga. ...
Maybe . Those hockey players are often showing their macho side .

John Russell,
It is a humor story, from the Onion, tagged appropriately. If you don't like it, go away.
Some of you folks really suck at the humor thing. Self-importance is not the same as being important.....
