Keeping my mind off boards with a little bit of music
So I have my Step 2 boards tomorrow morning, done studying. Just chillin', trying to keep my mind of the 8 hour exam I have tomorrow. Thought I'd share some of the music that is keeping me occupied.
Oh, if you're easily offended, don't listen - adult language and themes are prolific.
If you have any music that will keep me occupied and stress-free - please add
Another one
Re , Hollywood Undead :
Charlie Sheen ... hmmm . These guys have learned a lot from Eminem !
Haha, it's Charlie Scene (one of the guys in the band) - but, yeah, they do sound like they've learned a lot from Eminem, even in other parts.
Another video, because I'm bored:
Here's something less racy & far more poetic from the bard :
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? (Sonnet 18)
by William Shakespeare
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimmed;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st,
Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to Time thou grow'st.
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
Does that help any ?
Haha - it's definitely less racy Shakespeare is good....just have to think about it too much.
Sam Cooke, Summertime, taken from Porgy and Bess by Geo. Gershwin.
I like that, a lot
A little before your time Summer, but some songs and lyrics are timeless.
Happy that you liked it.
Absolutely a timeless song. Beautiful song
ok, perhaps not a ccomparable style, but surely take your mind to someplace besides boards...
...and another of my favs...
and a little Big Wreck (whom I have been groovin' on for the last coupla months)...
"Wolves"
I always told my side my way.
There was no more room In the packet of wolves They wouldn't let me in Saw the mission was afoot
They showed us all we were without
Oh, they said bleed out your heart If it's still beating for someone else Trap all those chains That keep you tethered, that keep you safe
A rosie little world In your packet of wolves A cosy little hang In the back of your school
Those stories always get so old
Well is that one night Going off the grid I never said you didn't I never said you did
And all of my favourite stories are about you
You said bleed out your heart If it's still beating for someone else Break all those chains That keep you tethered, that keep you safe
They said bleed out your heart If it's still beating for someone else Trap all those chains That keep you tethered, that keep you safe
Bleed out your heart If it's still beating for someone else Break all those chains That keep you tethered, that keep you safe.
This is one you've probably never heard, but I think you'll like Marco.
Thanks everyone for keeping my mind clear last night!! I am officially done with boards - finished in 4.5 hours - a lot faster than the allowed time. Now for the 6 week wait to get results!!
Good luck Summer...Have a bit of fun in those 6 weeks.
Well, I start my next rotation on July 29 and my boys are out of town until then - so until then, I will be having a lot of fun
Yup, take a load off, get some R & R and chill a bit...you deserve and need it.
Summer-So I'm late on the chill. How did it go?
Kavika-I'm feelin' you with Sam Cooke.
Try Todd Rundgren "working" with Darly Hall on "Beanie G. and the Rose Tatoo". Old school R & Bguitar all the way.
Really nice...
Here's another version, with a very different vibe:
