Body Double?
There is an old myth that says that somewhere out there, there is a body double of you. I have never met mine, but often people tell me that I remind them of someone they know. I could kind of see why, but I never thought of them as looking that much like me.
Which brings me to this.For years I have been a fan ofVincent D'Onofrio, since I first saw him in 'Full Metal Jacket". He is an amazing actor with sex appeal that goes beyond looks. I have made it a point to see almost every film he has made and of course I never missed L&O's "Criminal Intent".
Last week I went to see Iron Man and in the trailers there was one for a movie thatMark Ruffalo is in. I'm not usually attracted to younger men, but I have always found him to be strangely attractive, too. But, more than that, there was something about him that seemed sofamiliar. I just couldn't put my finger on it, until I saw that trailer. He isVincent D'Onofrio's body double,separated by 8 years. Don't believe me... let me make my case.

Now I'm wondering if there are other body doubles out there. Can any of you come up with body doubles? Photo proof is required.

When I was in college, there was a guy in school with me who folks were always getting mixed up, we looked so much alike. It was pretty strange. His hair was a little more blond than mine and his eyes were blue to my green. We were the same age. I would go bowling and the clerk would say "Didn't you just leave?" Or, I was at the car dealer looking at cars and the salesman would say, "Weren't you in here yesterday?" I would go to the restaurant and the waitress would say "Still hungry? You just finished off a burger and now you're back?" Nope. It wasn't me.
He and I would run into each other once in a while and share stories of people mistaking us. It was kinda funny and fun, too.

I think that both sets of ladies look about a 7 also, especially now that Jessica Alba looks very different now. I hardly recognized her from that picture.

Years ago, people told me of a body double, and I looked for the woman and finally found her. Actually, I was VERY flattered, but I have no idea why they thought we looked alike. She was tall and slim, and I was short and slim. My hair has a life of it's own, resembling Medusa's snakes at times, and her hair was perfectly straight.
Don't ask me-- but she was very beautiful! I wasn't anybody's old shoe, but she was beautiful!
I always thought Kevin Costner's eyes, nose, forehead in those glasses he wore in that Oliver Stone movie where you saw Kennedy get shot, over and over-- anyway, that's my Dad's hairline, eyes, glasses, and nose... Others agreed with me, even though Daddy was dead by the time the movie came out. I always thought Daddy looked a little likePaul Newman-- but that is likely more daughterly adoration than truth!

Decades ago, when I was young and healthy, I used to skateboard ... a LOT. For years, it was pretty much all my friends and I did. Wedrove a couple hoursto a skatepark near Cleveland, OH, and among the 100 or so kids flying around the park, I noticed one guy that looked just like me. I swear he could have been my twin - looked same age, same hair color, same height, same build. He even skated just like me, doing similar tricks at a similar level. Neither one of us spoke to the other, but I noticed we were staring at each other throughout the day. I'm quite certain we were both thinking the same thing - "that's the most handsomedude I've ever seen."

It was in Berea, and I lived in Toledo. Now I'm in Maryland, and I no longer skate. ACL skateboard injury took me out of the game permanently.Other skateboard injuries included adislocated a hip, a 6 inch splinter in my hip, and once I dragged my fingernail off underneath the wheel in a concrete drainage ditch. True story - I went to the emergency roomfor the finger injury, and the doctor looked at the nurse and said, "didn't we just have someskateboarder in here about a month ago with a giant splinter in his hip?"
