For All Who Loved "The Diary of a Young Girl" - Anne Frank

I still remember how I felt when I first read this book - a journal of an incredible young woman - and felt her passions, her fears and her spirit. I was about 14 then. I was reading about a young woman whose life was spent in the shadows of a world of horror. I cried many a time, going through the passages and coming to the part where there was no more. Perhaps, many of you have felt the same reading the book, when you were young.

This BBC video interview of Anne Frank's stepsister is a reminder of Anne's story. Eva Schloss met Anne in Amsterdam shortly before both families went into hiding. They were the same age and became close. Both were sent to Auschwitz. Only one came out alive. Years later, Eva's mother married Anne's father, Otto.
