An Almost Random Act of Kindness.

Not a big story, shit happens to good people everyday, and it is so easy to fall into that mindset, what does this mean to me ? How does it affect my life ? The answers is, not one bit. Until I made the decision to participate. I was asked to make a comment on a article, no that is not true, I was made aware that an article was posted. I made a snap confirmation that I would be there, not knowing any particulars.
This demonstrates a small measure of the regard I have for the initiating party, but like Horton, I follow through on my promises.
I read the article, and realized, I had limited or no knowledge of the parties involved, (awkward). How do you go from there ? You do what you came for, and offer support to someone in their time of need.
I wrote the comment almost as a news story it seemed, but then the muse did a drive by, and something magical happened, very similar to the Grinch, I briefly shared my heart through music and words to a complete stranger in their time of distress. Meaningless platitudes perhaps is where it started, but it ended somewhere else entirely.
9 minutes after my post I read a response from the subject of the article that melted my heart. Yes, Virginia, I do have a heart. I just need to remember that a little more often.
The Moral to the story is:
The life you save by a random act of kindness, may be your own.

That is beautiful and true and I hope that this is a lesson for us all to learn.
And that, 84, is why you are my friend. You do your best to help people. I'm glad you are on NT.
I saw that Act of Kindness, 84, and I was impressed by your sincerity. Yeah, they are easy to do but seldom done, those acts of kindness, and why is that? Sometimes we just don't know what to do, but once we start, our hearts and souls get involved and we do the right thing - like you did.
Just treat others as you would wish to be treated - best Random Act of Kindness ever - Ya done good.
