In fact, when a kitten was captured in Malaysia some years ago, its keepers found that it would play for hours in a basin of water.

Another aquatic cat: "The Fishing Cat" Prionailurus viverrinus.

Here's a video of it fishing:

Fishing cats dive and swim to catch fish. They may lure fish to the water's surface by tapping a paw in imitation of an insect's movements. They also swim underwater to prey on aquatic birds. Because fishing cats are nocturnal, few people get to see fishing cats fish. Now you can see it for yourself.
