Please read this before you scream "ANIMAL ABUSE". This kitten was being fed canned food twice a day and was not starving. You can see a brown bowl of chow on the counter. She was not a stray; she was young and thin. She was completely unharmed on the rounded edge of the can. I did not touch her with the fork. Even a kitten that is well-fed will go crazy for canned food. We simply decided to video our cute new kitten eating and this is what happened. It is a harmless candid video that turned out to be very funny.
OMG, that is just too funny. I have never seen a kitten want his food so badly. Maybe next time, they shouldn't keep him on the counter as they prepare his meal.
Arlene and I had a cat over 30lbs a few years ago. Used to climb up on a leaning branch in the backyard and sit about ten feet in the air and just perch there...for however long it took...to launch and fall directly on a bird that would inevitably land on the ground under him. Max the cat; really a fun, fat cat!

otoh, there is a reason why we have bred cats to be the size they are, much bigger and they wouldn't ask for supper, they'd just take it.
Oh that is so funny! My cat Nibbins did that to me one time over a fish sandwich. Only he was willing to bite me to get it.
Nothing can stand between a hungry cat and the smell of fish! (In fact, I think maybe even a cat who is not particularly hungry may attack the fish).
Maine Coon Cats can grow pretty large-- I think these photos are real (?)
I think cans of fish-- even fish sandwiches-- should come with a warning: "WARNING: Danger! Do not hold in hand in the presence of a cat!"

And if they got even bigger...they'd put us on leashes and take us for walks!
And that kitten was only two weeks old. The other one was born the week before.
