Just one of those days... Rant
Category: Scattershooting,Ramblings & Life
Via: msaubrey-aka-ahyoka • 12 years ago • 27 commentsYou know those days where it seems everyone wants to shit in your Wheaties right from the get-go? Yeah. One of those days. Personal life and work life with everyone elses whining, blaming, knocking you down every which way you turn....... Sometimes it just gets really old, really fast, and it mentally and physically drains me.
Vent/Rant
My schedule is extremely busy and tight, but I make it work. But don't bitch at me because socks are in the dryer still and not in your drawer. Don't bitch at me because you lost your license from a DUI you got 6 years ago and then tell me it's MY FAULT that the SOS won't give it back because you were missing a notorized letter from me. Couldn't be because you can't stop smoking dope! Don't bitch at me because dinner was not what you wanted. Don't tell me I don't spend enough time with you when you're out in the garage all fucking night watching tv and drinking beer only to not go to work the next day....... Then complain your truck bill is past due. Don't bitch at me because the work flow approvals aren't right.... STILL. Don't bitch at me because the weekly list isn't done.... Not my fault that MS Office fucked up. Don't bitch at me because I forgot to make a phone call... For you. Don't bitch at me for something I did 6 months ago that pissed you off. And don't keep "paying me back" for it time and time again. Don't get shitty with me because you actually have to work. I've been trying to make it possible so you don't... But then, I don't spend enough time kissing your ass because I'm busy doing school work. Don't bitch at me because your new wife is a bitch and you found out that I wasn't so bad after all. Pointing out what I actually do doesn't mean I want you to take all tasks away from me just to prove you can... That makes you an uncaring, cold-hearted asshole. I've lost all respect for you and just holding on until I get my degree. Then I will tell you to shove it up your ass. Then you won't have someone to fall back on.
Grrr. Thanks for reading.

These are all towards different people.
Definitely not the same person.
I'd be scared if it was just one person. Could be grounds for an old fashion lynching, LOL!
"Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."
OK.. My turn, don't bitch at me that you are being audited by the IRS after I told you that you took too much for charity and business expenses. Don't bitch at me if some member here misbehaves and you didn't tell me. Don't bitch at me if you break the CoC and I happen to call you on it. Hey man, I am just doing my job! How about not breaking the CoC with your petty nastiness? Don't bitch at me if I did 10 out of the 12 household duties... I also have 2 other jobs.. and yes this counts as one. Don't bitch at me, because your roommate is a nutter, which I told you from the moment I laid eyes on her and watch her talk to her mom like she was a piece of shit. You should have taken my advice then, when you still had time to do something about it. Don't bitch at me, that Dad cut your allowance, since you are soooooo busy that you never call. Hey he can't help it because he is sooooo busy making the money to send you to school, that he couldn't make it to the bank...maybe kind of... would have made an effort if you had.
OK.. I feel better!
Very good ranting everyone!
That was the first thing I thought of when I titled this.
Je'taime mon ami.
Bitch? Bitch? Well, rats. I can't bitch about stuff that happened 6 months ago? Actually, you will seldom hear me bitch about much of anything. I love this article and you are so on the money. No bitching allowed. A friend of mine has a cool bumper snicker on her car: Don't bitch and don't make me get my flying monkeys.
Here goes some more....
Don't bitch at me because you don't have enough people to work on your project when you just fucking laid my husband off along with two other very intellegent techs! Don't bitch at me because you don't know how to do your job and I refuse to do it for you! Don't bitch about needing to work overtime when 1/2 of our income is now gone! Lastly... I can't wait for these guys to come back to work for another dept. that you don't have power over... I know it will just chafe your ass!
Good grief, I can't wait until I get my degree!
There are no dead end jobs. There are only dead end people.
Gene, I retired when I was 50. I have really enjoyed every minute of it.
Yes he did.
I disagree. I bust my ass only to get the big fat stick in the eye. I don't think I have the "right equipment" to get promoted. It sucks that it's about impossible to prove.
I've never minded manual labor. Hell... If I can deliver two kids, one of them being a big headed, stubborn boy, I can handle just about any labor. I just can't live on promises and smoke up the ass though.
When one of two incomes just got slashed, you can't afford a psychologist. So, I come here for free.
Aubs, Sorry to hear about hubby. What I have seen in some companies is that they lay off some of the higher paid employees and then announce positions in other departments. The strategy is that the company doesn't want to pay the higher salary. They hire into the new position at a lower salary and benefit package. It really is pretty chicken shit the way they do it.
I do hope hubby gets hired back into another department. Yes, I agree that companies inspect your plumbing before promotion and if it isn't right, no go up the ladder.
When I hired for the State of NM, I liked hiring women. It was an office job with lots and lots of field calls to poor areas of town to make home visits. That was of concern to me and we always required them to take a male staff member out with them so they could make their field calls. We also had them equipped with radios for communication back to the office.
The women I hired worked their asses off - and I do have to admit they tried harder to get on with the job than the males. They often had a better work ethic and, sometimes, they had something to prove. They made great employees - even if they would get a little feisty an hormonal every once in a while. But feisty and hormonal is part of being human and it never bothered me. All I had to do to get a situation settled down was get them to laugh or take them to coffee at the cafe across the street and visit a while. Yeah, I know it's difficult to be a woman in a man's career field and that's just the way it goes. Men can be easily frightened by a co-worker who is smart, talented and pretty to look at, too.
I would have been fortunate to have a sensible, down to earth gal like you working for me. I know you would be as independent as a hog on ice but that is what I always looked for in an employee. Love ya.
He was one of the last contracted employees making far less than the rest of the direct guys. So that partis not the case. I am the one that has the insurance benefits for all of us because it was way cheaper since I am a direct hire. The other dept. is for tech writing (writing military manuals) so it is completely different than being a shop tech. This dept. specifically was looking for people that know the vehicle... Not how to write a manual. In the supervisors words (for that dept.), "Aubrey, you can teach a wrench how to write a manual. You cannot teach a writer how to wrench."
Meh... With me you wouldn't have to worry about that... Mr. Kahr and Mr. Springfield would be joining me if needed!
Wayne County Michigan. If there was something available... Not sure I'd want to go to Detroit and see someone in Wayne Co. health dept.
Hang in there, Aubs.
I'm really not worried. As long as I have a job, we'll be fine. His unemployment and not having Carson in daycare, we can make ends meet.
Hangin w/the lil guy and looking for work now consists of the internet. Even applying for auto parts stores is done online now.
Our tech manuals really aren't too bad. As long as the team working with the technician and listening to what they're saying, then they write it up correctly.
I figure my job is very dependant on this election right now. My husband will likely find work no matter who gets into office.
However, if we have a war-hungry POTUS that wants to make big changes to the current military fleet until contract is awarded for the new JLTV in 2018, I'll keep my job and be able to continue my education. If we do not, I'm probably screwed after Aug. 2013. On the brightside, I'll have an Associates Degree by then.
