Bump That Track
OK , is this another musical challenge ? If ya like then yes . The name says it all . It is what is done in the recording studio to some music to make it more commercial , more lively and more impossible to perform live .
Here is an extreme example I stumbled on :
Here is the original : more than 25 MILLION views on you tube !
Personally I like this next version with the visual indications by/of some nutcase :

Let the advert run 1st [with muted sound] and then enjoy .
Can you top that ? I dare ya to try ...
Well, I'm not sure what are the parameters are. Most of this can be recreated live, using tracks. A lot of 80's New Wave bands did that. And of course, there is the grandfather of the special effect track... Mr. Jimmy Page.
He did that with a violin bow and an echoplex.
Or these two examples with the Theremin:
( Electrophone )
The theremin / r m n / , [1] originally known as the therphone / etherphone , thereminophone [2] or termenvox / thereminvox is an early electronic musical instrument controlled without discernible physical contact from the player. It is named after its Russian inventor, Professor Lon Theremin , who patented the device in 1928. The controlling section usually consists of two metal antennas which sense the position of the player's hands and control oscillators for frequency with one hand, and amplitude ( volume ) with the other, so it can be played without being touched. The electric signals from the theremin are amplified and sent to a loudspeaker .
The theremin was used in movie soundtracks such as Mikls Rzsa 's for Spellbound and The Lost Weekend and Bernard Herrmann 's for The Day the Earth Stood Still and as the theme tune for the ITV drama Midsomer Murders . This has led to its association with a very eerie sound. Theremins are also used in concert music (especially avant-garde and 20th- and 21st-century new music ) and in popular music genres such as rock . Psychedelic rock bands in particular, such as Hawkwind , have often used the theremin in their work.
Perrie ,
You're in the ballpark of what I'm looking for . I'm lookin' for stuff where the audio is augmented by studio and technical tricks .
Perhaps you are not familiar with the lyrics that this title comes from .
Here is the youtube link to the Gaga song where it first appeared :
I think they call that type of music "techno" but I'm not that familiar with the terminology .
And here are the lyrics in question from Starstruck by Lady Gaga :
Groove slam, work it back
Filter that, baby bump that track
Groove slam, work it back
Filter that, baby bump that track
Groove slam, work it back
Space Cowboy just play that track
Gaga in the room, so starstruck
Cherry cherry cherry cherry, boom boom
Rollin' up to the club on the weekend
Stylin' out to the beat that you're freakin'
Fantasize on the track that you're tweakin'
Blow my heart up
Put your hands on my waist, pull the fader
Run it back with original flavor
Queue me up, I'm the twelve on your table
I'm so starstruck
So starstruck, baby could you blow my heart up?
I'm so starstruck
Baby could you blow my heart up?
I'm so starstruck
Baby could you blow my heart up?
I'm so starstruck
Baby could you blow my heart up?
