You can't go wrong with Robert Johnson. This tune has been covered by many. Altered. Inspired other tunes and so on. Thumbs up.

Just a few.

John Hammond: Crossroad Blues

Cream: Crossroads 1968

Cyndi Lauper and Johnny Lang: Crossroad

Rory Block: Crossroad Blues

Thanks and a Tip O The Stetson to Robert Johnson's Ghost.....

There are moments in musical history where the torch is passed from one generation to the next . Here is one such "Crossroads" moment :

One of my favorites by Johnson.

That one calls for a porch, a cigar and a nice bourbon.

Robert Johnson, a fine ceegar and bourbon. They do indeed make for good porch....

You won't believe this...I have the complete recordings of Robert Johnson--41 recordings from the Sony/Columbia Legacy Series. Short & long versions of same cuts.--Kindhearted Woman Blues:2:49/2:31, Cross Road Blues: 2:39/2:29 and so on.

The liner notes/booklet: Keith Richards and Eric Clapton write about Johnson's influence on them.

Me too.

Peter Green, from the old pre women,

blues version of Fleetwood Mac, released a CD called, T he Robert Johnson Songbook with 16 covers. It is quite good and well worth a listen. Just a white boy lost in the blues. As it were.
