CNN’s New Day host Chris Cuomo complained to his guest presidential candidate Donald Trump that he avoids his show to go on shows that “give you a pass.”
Trump explained that NBC buried the hatchet and invited him to host Saturday Night Live because he brought in ratings. “You think you would have had 24 and 25 million people watching CNN and watching Fox?” Trump asked. “If [ Marco Rubio ] was there, you would have had two people watching.”
“You help ratings, no question with it,” Cuomo said. “I see it in my minute-by-minutes. It’s one of the reasons we get frustrated that you don’t do everybody evenly.”
“You like to go to the safe harbors where they give you a pass,” he said. “You don’t like to come on as much.”

“I like to go to places where they treat me fairly,” Trump countered.
“Do you think I treat you fairly?” Cuomo asked.
Trump paused for a moment. “I won’t comment on that. I’m not talking about you. I’m talking about CNN.”
“But I’m talking about me, I only do this one show. Do I treat you fairly on New Day?”
“I like you, and I like your treatment and I do think you’re fair. But your other people, I can tell you, do not,” Trump insisted.

Nauseating.
Since I have seen Trump on Cuomo's show a number of times, I assume that Cuomo is saying that Trump isn't on his show often enough. Then when Trump does his media rounds, the media (especially CNN) will complain that Trump gets too much free exposure on TV.
Cuomo blatantly acknowledges to Trump that it would help his ratings if trump came on more. CNN is supposed to be a news network, not an entertainment show most concerned with ratings. This crap is getting way out of hand.

Cuomo's New day show is part news/part entertainment with a big dollop of liberal bias. The show has been in trouble for a while struggling to top 100,000 viewers. If Cuomo can't do better than he's doing, he's going to get axed. So he begs Trump to appear for a rating boost. Trump knows it's all about ratings and plays the networks like a fiddle.
