My grandmother used to tell us that God hide the stories of life in nature and that if we looked at trees, the animals, the rivers and lakes and the sky we would be able to see those stories in our minds.
She stressed we had to pay attention - we were kids figure the odds.
I now understand what she meant and sitting on the porch or walking in the woods is better than any manufactured entertainment that is available today
