The Long Peace
I found this video that gave a strong visual to death from wars, especially WWII, as well as some interesting commentary. Thought I would share it to give perspective.

The Fallen of World War II from Neil Halloran on Vimeo .
I haven't set up the vimeo embed yet so just click on the link. I think it will give many a new perspective.
If I'm not mistaken WW1 had an even higher death toll than even WW2 . But the numbers in WW2 were quite enormous especially for the Soviets .

WW1 had a higher death toll on soldiers but not civilians. If you watch the video to the end, you can see WWI vs WWII... it's not even close. One of those interesting facts. Also they compare and adjust by world population at the time.

Thanks for the clarification P . Do you think there useful conclusions to be drawn from that data ?
Good video Perrie.
Petey, WWII had a larger number killed than WWI.
In WWI the slaughter of troops from all countries was mostly due to incompetence of the Generals. It led to a revolt in the ranks of almost every army.
Glad you liked it Kavika.
