Animal Watch: Deaf MN man rescues drowning deer
A deer trapped in an icy Minnesota river is gaining a lot of attention on the internet and social media.
Steven Peterson rescued the deer from the Kettle River in Pine County around New Year’s. Peterson shared his story with our sister station at the News Tribune in Duluth. He is deaf and answered questions in writing.
Now THAT is sweet!
Very cool (pun intended).
Great! I see deer every day and this is a particularly "happy" story.
What a wonderful story. The deer seemed to have bonded with her rescuer. It was very brave of that man to go out on the ice to save her. Sometimes we rise to meet our bravest moments.
People are nice... often...
