When I lived in Australia, they had a horrible problem with drunk driving. They enacted some very tough laws. Far tougher than we have here in the U.S. Drunk driving fatalities dropped dramatically.

Still, it didn't stop some from doing the continuing stupid action.

The stats here are amazing and not in a good way.

According to this, 4000 people per day are arrested for drunk driving in the US. That is astonishing.

Anti-drunk driving media campaigns seem to be very ineffective.

Then again, alcoholism is compulsive.
