Literally minutes after this fawn was born (in my back yard), it took refuge in an old washtub I keep at the base of an ancient Poplar tree. What prompted me to get the photo, was my watching it walk wobbly down the slope in my back yard, and seem to vanish.
The only possible explanation was that the fawn had to be behind the tree … I took my camera down the slope and, sure enough … it was there … in the wash tub (which I had forgotten was behind the tree).
They are not just my neighbors from the woods behind my house … they are also …
DEER to me.
Great photos Mac.
I remember the one of the fawn in the wash tub...I love that photo.

I will post that later today.
OH DEER!
What a great shot! I love their faces and the composition. Well done!
Beautiful shot Mac!! They look as if you could almost reach out and pet them.
Second photo … Fawn in old washtub.

That is such a beautiful photo Mac. It's just stunning.
Thanks for posting it again.
My pleasure to share "uplifting" pix with good people.
What beautiful sweethearts! How could anyone be upset once they have seen these sweet pictures?
Thanks for the break!!!
