With respect to your particular involvement, the report established that there is substantial and credible evidence to conclude you were at least generally aware of the actions of the Patriots employees involved in the deflation of the footballs and that it was unlikely that their actions were done without your knowledge. Each player, no matter how accomplished and otherwise respected, has an obligation to comply with the rules and must be held accountable for his actions when those rules are violated and the publics confidence in the game is called into question.

Vincent and Roger Goodellwho got this decision right, as harsh as it isbasically believe that Brady lied and obstructed. They view Brady as someone who thought he was above it all. Not just the rules but the entire sport.

This seems, according to the article, the crux of the matter.
Slap on the wrist. Brady will be waiting out his suspension on a beach somewhere, Kraft spends more than a million a week on airline travel, and the Patriots would miss a draft pick like it was just a hangnail gone.
Should have denied them any post-season playoff games, Brady out for the year, no draft picks for 2016. But then I may be a little biased. Go Packers!!!

LOL, Patriot-empathy day. There will be those that have balls to deflate, others have no balls.
