FAQ Tips for new members coming over from Newsvine
I started posting a FAQ's type series of articles on Newsvine today to help the immigrants to know what to expect when they arrive here. Any helpful comments would be greatly appreciated as well as suggestions for topics to be covered. Technical advice on this sites functions would be GREATLY appreciated. For now I am not happy with what transpired n the past couple of years. Yet it is time to turn the page. We should all do what we can to bring our country together instead of create divisions.
I am not perfect. "I'm no Angel". I do not know how much I will participate. I have certain priorities these days.
1. My "Girls". Yes Girls. From where they are from "woman" is the same as calling them "Grandmother". Even their Mom's are "Girls".
2. Race cars, Street/Strip cars, resto cars. NO that does not mean watching it on TV. That means being part of the engineering team.
3. When I have time, I love to target shoot at very long ranges for the the particular weapon in question. Except for .22 rimfires, this means creating the ammunition needed for the distance.
4. If I have a chance to read, i want a good book. Doesn't happen often.
So maybe I will enjoy reading here if I can't jump into a book.
Not interested in politics these days.

Hi Dave. Welcome to The Newstalkers
I have been active both here and on NV. One of the differences between the two sites (in addition to the much better moderation here) is that currently NV is pretty much all about politics.
While of course people looking for political discussions here can find them, there are a lot of non-political articles, over a wide range of topics, here on The Newstalkers.
