January 18, 1936:  On this day, footage of the devastating of the 1935 flood was released.

The flood caused nearly three million dollars in damage, which would be about fifty-two million today, and unfortunately, seven people lost their lives, five of which were children ages ten and under.

However, the heroic efforts of volunteer rescue quads saved many others.
