Thanks to all our Veterans
My daughter is marching in the NYC Veterans Day Parade tomorrow November 11th.
She will be wearing a badge with her grandfathers name and rank on her arm. His four other brothers served as well.
Her other grandfather ( my dad was in the National Guard) all of her other uncles served too.
She will be marching in the Havre de grace High School band. She plays the clarinet.
Lets say " Thank you" to all the men and women that served in our country and lost their lives for our freedom.
Please be civil and stay on the topic.
Thank you.
Yesterday, my grandson, 16, who is a junior in high school sent his grandpa a text. He said, grandpa, we watched a movie about the veterans and it really got to me. I just want to thank you for serving our Country. love you. His grandpa was a Marine out of Cherry Point, N.C. and served under Gen. Crawford. How wonderful that my grandson is being raised in such a manner. I am so proud of him!
Yes, thank you.
Wonderful boy.
Thank you Kathleen - tell her to bundle up and hold her head high.
Yes, thank you all!!!
I come from a long line of Vets... but my favorite one is my Dad. Served in both the Korean War and Vietnam as did his 4 brothers.
Thanks to all living and gone. WE wouldn't be us without your service.
And Happy Birthday United States Marine Corp. You're still looking awesome after 242 years!
Thank you for the article Kathleen. Tell that young lady to hold her head high.
Thank you veterans and thank you to your families.
Congratulations to your daughter Kathleen. That is an honor to be part of the parade.
It is going to be cold. Only 25 degrees where I am right now. brrrrrrrrrrrrrr

My maternal Grandfather was a WW1 soldier. He passed away at the VA Hospital in St. Louis. Not from the war. My mother was only 7 at the time.
Men in my family have served in the military since before the Civil War to defend our country and their homeland.
Kathleen, I am sure that your Daughter will proudly represent both her Grandfathers in her march in the parade. (smile)
Thank You.
