What Was Liberalism?

This is from one of my favorite YouTube channels, Philosophy Tube.

It's produced by Olly, who not so long ago received his Master of Philosophy and decided to share it with the world.

I liked it.  You did alright.

Hope this isn't off topic but, 'what in the hell is conservatism then?'

From Reagan through Obama it was basically neoliberalism (all that uber free trade, anti-organized labor and personal responsibility stuff combined with dismantling and privatizing the public sector), but if today's conservatives genuinely support Trump, then I'm not sure what the hell it is anymore. Neoliberalism lacking some of the free trade stuff, I guess, along with increased levels of ethnic nationalism and political corruption?

Who the hell knows?

This is a VERY GOOD set of links! People should listen to them. Quite clarifying. One thing: As I listened to the videos, one individual stayed in the fore-front of my brain: Speaker Paul Ryan.  What about you, guys and gals?
