Host body. Oliva used that term five times in a single interview.

Yeah? So what?

Way to make clear which body matters more there, guy.

It doesn't make clear any such thing. You could easily argue that it implies the developing baby is a parasite - a fake science claim that some people have tried to make right here on NT. This is so obvious, the writer even mentions it:

fetus as a parasite, which would seem to follow from his preferred terminology for women

In fact, the quotes for the guy in this very article make clear that he sees it as a balancing act and there isn't one body that clearly matters more than the other. i.e.:

“And the question that we have to ask ourselves is,” Oliva went on to say, “What is the limit to which we are going to give one person complete power over the life of another?”

Yep! That sounds like a person who is trying have a balanced perspective on the issue. He "clearly" hasn't decided that one is more important than the other. That's why it's such a tough issue for so many people.

So, in the end, this article contradicts itself. It's a mess. The writer badly wants to be outraged because . . . mah politiks! mah feels! Too bad the facts in front of her don't support it.
