More than 55,000 children caught at border in May
DHS on border: 'We are bursting at the seams'

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

The government set another grim record in May with more than 55,000 children nabbed by Border Patrol agents along the southwest border.

They were part of more than 130,000 unauthorized migrants Border Patrol agents and officers at the ports of entry encountered last month, up from about 109,000 in April and far higher than the 51,000 or so nabbed in May 2018.

But even record overall numbers shield the true expanse of the crisis, officials said.

As much as 60 percent of agents’ time is now spent babysitting illegal immigrants rather than patrolling the border, and they’re setting records for making rescues of migrants in distress. Meanwhile border detention facilities are packed, with more than 19,000 people in space that is already in crisis when it reaches 6,000.

Personnel have been pulled off the lines at the border crossings and used to help care for the record numbers of children and families, but it’s meant people crossing are having to wait longer. The delays during peak times are 40 minutes longer for regular traffic, and 25 minutes longer in the commercial traffic lanes, said Randy Howell, executive director of port operations at Customs and Border Protection.

“We are busting at the seams,” he said.

It will take “more people, more facilities and more supplies” to get a handle on things, acting CBP Commissioner John Sanders said.

When Congress quits trying to redo the Mueller report, maybe they can get to work on a very real problem facing the U.S.

Yeah, don't count on it. The last few years the worthless bass turds have failed to do anything worthwhile for the people of either party, being so wrapped up in Trump's every word and deed.

They won't provide funding for better facilities and agents because they are afraid a few bucks might go toward building barriers. The only conclusion that can reached about these left wing losers, is that they really don't care about the health and welfare of these migrants, or as they prefer to call them, "brown people".  They are attempting to exploit them for future votes.

Think about this Greg - 130,000 Illegal Aliens captured/apprehended - and 55,000 were juveniles - many as unaccompanied juveniles.  You tell me what kind of parent, if there are any, who would send/allow their child to enter a foreign country 1,000 or miles from their homes without a parent???

I'm sorry, but that is pure child abuse.  What if the child/children were beaten, raped, abused in any manner - what "rights" do the absentee parents have for, literally, abandoning their child to those dangers????

But, but, but there's no crisis at the border! The left tells us that frequently...

We have gone from crisis to full blown emergency.  Congress will not do a thing!

Yes, that would be nice, wouldn't it? Unfortunately, as time goes by I become more and more convinced that the only thing on Congress's agenda is the destruction of the United States.

Another thing that has gone unmentioned is all the unvaccinated people poring over the border. We have incidents of measles (which we had eradicated) in many states, cases of typhus in CA and now migrants from the Ebola plagued Congo.

Shhhh. Remember, many liberals don't want the government involved in the healthcare decisions of Americans. We'll just have to take our chances with the hordes of illegal aliens pouring over our border.

"It's who we are!"

But, the government can spend $2.2 MILLION in DIAPERS for the little Illegal Aliens and can't take care of our own 560,000 HOMELESS U.S. citizens.

Pure BS.
