Man caught pooping in aisle of San Francisco Safeway

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – The city of San Francisco is taking action to clean up the streets but what about the grocery stores?
Shoppers at a Safeway in the Marina District got a disturbing surprise over the weekend.
Mike, a San Francisco resident, was at the Safeway when he spotted a man pooping in one of the aisles.
An opened package of toilet paper is seen in the photos sitting near the man.
Mike told KRON4 he saw the man go into a nearby Starbucks when he was finished.
KRON4 has reached out to Safeway for a statement, but have not yet heard back.
This story comes as San Francisco deals with a growing amount of human waste complains.
San Francisco even has a poop patrol, staff members who clean up human waste around the city.
Throughout the city, 311 has received more than 25,000 poop complaints this year alone, with the Tenderloin getting the highest number of calls.
Last month, San Francisco Supervisor Matt Haney called the city’s poop problem a national embarrassment.
“This is a national embarrassment, it is also many communities a disgusting, public health crisis, no one should be able to walk about and see poop smeared all over the place, no one should live in these conditions. It is not funny,” Haney said.
Since then, the city has increased frequency of power washing in trouble areas and has opened more public toilets.
But many believe more needs to be done.

In a state that is a mix of wealthy progressives and illegal migrants and the poor, with little in between, there really isn't much hope for change via elections.

As odd as this incident seems it actually isn't unique or the only incident I've read about, blech!
San Francisco has deteriorated greatly under progressive rule. It's not a fit place to live.
Can't comment on that as I'm not familiar with politics or San Francisco
Wherever I've lived, supermarkets have had restrooms. The Safeway on Marina Blvd. seems to be rather upscale - it even has wine-tasting on weekends - so it probably has a restroom. This man's behavior is disgusting.

The Marina District is a very upscale and wealthy area right near Fisherman's Wharf.
I know. I've visited the SF and surrounding areas many times. SF used to be my favorite US city.
In Denver, there is an ongoing case where a merchant is being fined for not cleaning up crap in alley or parking lot by his store
It's his parking lot. Who does he think should clean it up?
It's an adjacent alley NOT his parking lot.
His customers park there to give him business. Again, who do you think should clean it up?

But I'd settle for the city that allows and even encourages, to some degree, such disgusting activities, creating a public health hazard.

You wouldn’t think it could be, but public officials in SF have made it clear they won’t be prosecuting this kind of behavior (or cleaning it up apparently). That so defies common sense that a thing like public defecation has actually become a political issue people disagree about.
Naw, just proof that humanity is de-evolving. The human race made it this far because we used and developed our brains, but most people stopped using that wonderful ability to solve problems and have thoughts and now just "concentrate" on self-gratification and being amused. They'll follow anybody that can amuse them and tell them what to do and think, but only if it's what they want to hear. SO much easier than....thinking.
