(Newser) When it comes to selfies, it looks like men are the vanity champs. A survey in Britain by smartphone maker HTC found that young guys are twice as likely to post a selfiefigure three times a week, on average, versus 1.6 for women, reports the Irish Examiner . And the vast majority of those shots (76%) show off their bodies, while less than half of women's selfies (45%) do the same, reports the Telegraph . More specifically, men are mostly likely to show off their chests (20%), while women are most likely to feature their faces (55%).
And what's behind all the men's selfies? Women, generally. About a quarter of the male respondents ages 18 to 30 say they're posting to make a current or former partner jealousthat's about twice as high as the percentage of women who do the sameand another 10% say it's to make themselves appear more desirable to a potential mate. Whatever the reasons, a blogger at Joe.ie would like it to end. "Lads we know that you're all better looking than Ryan Gosling, so just stop." (Unless you happen to be Rocky himself on the "Rocky Steps" in Philly.)

I hate talking on the phone...and I refuse to get the texting option on my cell. my entire family keeps insisting that I NEED to get texting, and I tell them.."No I don't". I live all my life without it, and I can live the rest of my life without it. I understand the convenience of it, but, the world managed before without it, so can I.
And don't get me started on textng or talking on the phone while out to lunch or dinner with someone, or in the grocery store etc...
Really? I never would have guessed. I would bet, though, that more 15 year old white girls take pictures of their food than 15 year old white boys do.
There was a woman on Newsvine who kept sending me selfies. Her hair. Her foot. Her hand. All out of focus, of course. But.....but.....why?
I think that we can blame the ''men take more selfies'' on politicians.
A number of them have been taking selfies of their weenies and emailing them around the US.
I could never do that. Shucks, I have to take a shower in the dark. I couldn't take a photo of it, I'm too timid. It's true.
If they want to pay for my phone and cellphone bill then I'll let them call the shots. Thus far, no one has ponied up to do any of that. lol..
I just keep mine turned off, I use it only for emergencies...
