Naked man caught chasing boar that stole his laptop
Adele Landauer was at Teufelssee in Berlin when she spotted a nude man chasing a pack of wild boar, and posted the images on social media.

Oh, to be a fly on that laptop case.

At a lake in Berlin on Wednesday, where Germans are known to bask and bathe in the buff, a middle-aged nude man found himself at the center of a ridiculous scene — chasing down a wild boar while his buns flapped in the wind.

According to Adele Landauer, another visitor to Teufelssee — that's "Devil's Lake" in English — a boar and her two piglets had been perusing the shore in search of snacks. After reportedly consuming a stash of leftover pizza from the backpack of another tourist, who was swimming in the lake at the time, the pig posse moved on to the bright yellow bag, which they surely thought had food inside.

What happened next was pure mayhem.

"Nature strikes back!" Landauer wrote on Facebook, translated from German, alongside photos depicting the naked man running after the swine as smiling onlookers watched.

"In the yellow bag is the man's laptop, so he gave it his all in Adam's costume," she said, adding that the man had "laughed loudly" at the images, and authorized her to post them on social media.

She provided more details on Instagram.

"Everyone of us adored him how focused he stayed and when he came back with his yellow bag in the hand we all clapped and congratulated him for his success," the acting coach captioned. "This happens when you're focused on your goals."

The wild suids of Europe have been known to stick their snouts where they don't belong. Late last year, a boar in Italy unearthed an estimated $22,000 worth of cocaine buried in the Tuscan countryside by drug traffickers. And in May, as the streets of Spain cleared due to pandemic lockdown measures, officers in Catalonia were forced to herd the potentially dangerous hogs back to the forest, before they could attack residents.

The deceptively agile animals, which can run as fast as 30 mph and climb walls up to 6 feet high, are not to be trifled with — lest you find yourself defenseless facing a pack of untamed porkers.

In a viral tweet last year, a concerned Arkansas man asked rhetorically — as a defense in favor of assault rifle ownership, no less: "Legit question for rural Americans — How do I kill the 30-50 feral hogs that run into my yard within 3-5 mins while my small kids play?"

In MI, we're allowed to shoot wild hogs on sight if on state land. And if we get the permission of land owner, we can shoot em too. That's one of a few reasons that hunters carry a pistol while hunting. jrSmiley_100_smiley_image.jpg

Wild boar are migrating North and a few weeks ago was the first that I have seen them on my property. They have been destroying my garden recently and I will be buying a night scope for my AR to run them off (don't want to shoot them because I'm leery of eating wild pig and don't want rotting corpses on my property attracting coyotes).

Wild boar shouldn't be carrying anything that we can catch... they wouldn't be any different than shooting a deer. Although, many deer have caught TB in recent years, but that you can see as soon as you open it up.

I really have a problem with using the terms "laptop" and "naked man" in the same sentence.

Someone needs to tell that dude just because it is okay to go all natural doesn't mean he should.

Have to say that I admire him for rescuing his laptop in the nude . I would have paused to pick up a gun a rock or a stick. Wild boar can be extremely dangerous.

Faced a black bear in my underwear once with a 12 gauge in my hand. Shot a round off in the air and then It ran off and neither me or my lady had a wink of sleep that night.

We still camp in bear country but now string explosive trip wires as a first warning/deterrent system.

P.S. bear spray works. Bears run away from it.
