''totally pointless''....Not really Bob, it shows that diverse animals/birds can come to terms with each other. Humans should do as well.

Ah, what a poetic analysis...

On a good day, I might come up with that... but on most days, I'd see the the egret taking a free ride on the capybara's back. Exploitation!!

Capybaras are so cute. I like the giant rodents though...

''Gakina Awiiya''. Translation, We are all related. This of course means to us that we are related to everything on earth.

I'm not a fan of rats

Think of them as very small capybaras.

They make excellent lab assistants.

My husband had a hand tamed rat who would eat food from his fingers and groom his head... I didn't appreciate the odor.

We rescued it from the humane society because no one would take it. It only made it about eight months before it died of multiple tumors.

I love rats! I had two brothers who I used to bathe and who would cuddle together. They are so smart and when one brother died, the other one was so heart broken, he died 3 days later from not eating or drinking. Some people look at them as pests, but they are highly intelligent and loving.

BTW I have had several guinea pigs. They are adorable and capybaras smallest cousin in the Caviidaefamily of rodents.

I've had my fair share of guinea pigs. We had one that was box trained and I wish they were easier to train that way because he was a blast to let run around the house.

I think having a capy would be fun, but they require a swim area which isnt exactly small house/big city friendly.

Maybe one day if I move back home to the country.

I don't know whether that's sad or sweet.
