MILTON — A Florida pastor who crusaded against alcohol sales on Sundays is now facing child pornography charges, state investigators say.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement reported William Dalton Milam, 62, was arrested Monday on two counts of promoting sexual performance of a child and 25 counts of possession of child pornography.

It was not immediately clear Tuesday if Milam has a lawyer.

The Pensacola News Journal reports Milam is pastor at the Olivet Baptist Church in Milton and was an outspoken critic of the consumption of alcohol. He delivered a sermon there last Sunday.

FDLE said agents received a tip about Milam from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led them to a computer address traced to Milam’s home. Authorities say a search warrant led agents to multiple devices containing child pornography, some depicting children as young as 3 engaged in sex acts.

Milam vocally opposed a 2016 campaign by Santa Rosa County cities to change local ordinances to allow the sale of liquor on Sundays.

I saw this briefly yesterday on my news feed, thanks for posting it here. it's important for the self-righteous to constantly be reminded how their alleged high values so often clash with reality.

It’s also funny how Christians routinely consume wine on Sundays under the guise of transubstantiation.  Maybe he had a little too much blood of Christ and it led him into child porn.

It was more of a general religious hypocrisy observation.  Put it this way, I doubt you’d ever find a supporter of banning alcohol sales on Sundays for non-religious reasons, so it’s just strange that the liquid used in communion is sometimes wine.  Symbolizing the lifeblood of Jesus with alcohol is just bizarre.  As an atheist, I realize that my opinions on religious means and methods doesn’t sway believers, but if I were Jesus I’d be like what the fuck?!  They kill me on that hideous torture device, and centuries later people use THAT as a symbol of love?  And then they imply I’m so boozed up that my blood has a high alcohol content?  Maybe he put Trump on earth as revenge.

Sorry, the joke goes the only timer a baptist drinks is when he is in a fishing boat with a buddy... because then they are sure that neither of them will tell on the other.

I do not think that you will find wine in any Baptist communion. Could be wrong, I don't think so.

Catholics, yes.
