Cuomo resigned today under pressure from Democrats.
Cuomo resigned after realizing he would be impeached.
Trump didn't resign. He got impeached twice!
Why would he?
WTF does Trump have to do with asshole Cuomo giving up?
Trump did not resign, butt he should have...
Guess that is something you will just have to learn to live with.
Hint. Democrats running NY wanted Cuomo to go. Members of his own party. Democrats wanted Trump to go. Wrong damn party.
Biden had better hope Republicans aren't vindictive when they regain control of the House and Senate. Democrats lowered the standard for impeachment to nothing more than feelings. Pretty sure a good majority of Republicans really are starting to hate Biden.
From what I understand, impeachment is still a very real bipartisan issue being discussed in the NY state legislature, because the crimes (sexual, Covid nursing homes, obstruction, cover-up, preferential treatment for family/friends at the pandemic's beginning, etc) Cuomo allegedly committed occurred while he was governor.
Trump didn't commit a provable crime or kill a lot of people in nursing homes
Much more than about damn time!
Impeachment does necessarily mean removal from office.
The tide has begun to turn in some historically "blue" states. Cuomo has resigned, but still not out of danger of also being impeached for many alleged crimes. Newsom is losing his recall challenge.
Voters of both major parties are fed up with the left's advocacy of corruption, crime, censorship, Defund the Police, BLM, Antifa, CRT (renewed racial segregation), etc. which are promoted.
Deviation from the seeded topic?
For breathing.
It was bipartisan pressure, and Cuomo finally realized that he had no other alternative.
I know it's CNN but see if you can find any republicans publicly speaking out about Cuomo:
I don't have a problem with CNN, but after looking at your CNN link, I find it interesting that none of the reporters mention US Reps. Elise Stefanik and Claudia Tenney or NY Assemblymen Will Barclay and Mike Lawlor and many more Republicans. They've all been outspoken against Cuomo's behavior/actions for well over a year.
On the flip side, the CNN articles glaringly omit Assemblyman Ron Kim (D-40), possibly because he's worked closely with Janice Dean, FNC's Senior Meteorologist, whose in-laws were among Cuomo's 15,000+ nursing home Covid victims.
I forgot US Reps. Lee Zeldin and Nicole Malliotakis. Two more Republicans who have very vocally spoken out against Cuomo's sexual and Covid crime allegations.
Nixon once asked Sen Barry Goldwater how many not guilty votes he had in the Senate. Goldwater told him 4 and I'm not one of them.
That usually leads to a resignation. Like Nixon, Cuomo can now say, I was never impeached!
Congrats on the story. I didn't think I'd see it on the front page.
One down and one to go.
meh, he should've paid off his accusers and announced his 2024 POTUS bid as a republican candidate. lemons/lemonade
Why would he pay people off who he claimed are liars?
Is he really THAT fucking stupid?
If Cuomo was in the gop, they'd be supporting him!
Democrats demand accountability from Democrats.
The gop puts their abusive pols in the White House...
But he isn't a Republican, he is a proud Democrat.
And Republicans don't support him.
IF wishes were horses, beggars might ride.
Lol.. Imagine trying to spin this as something to be proud of for Democrats. Yet another Governor belatedly resigns after numerous scandals! Be proud!
Why not worry about voting for a governor who won't have to resign in disgrace than patting yourself on the back for spending years supporting a corrupt, sexist bully who killed thousands of your residents and tried to cover it up?
Because we all have the gift of clairvoyance/ sarc.
The only good part of this story is that Kathy Hochul, a moderate, will finish Cuomo's term. After that, I fear that the likes of Letitia James will be running for Governor. Then we will all realize what this was about.
New York's last 3 Governor's departed amid scandal.
He needed to resign.
Yes, he did. New York Democrats forced him out.
But...but...I thought Democrats were the evil ones????????????
There are many, many, many layers of evil. It isn't like the losing Cuomo is costing Democrats one damn thing. A Democrat will replace him; a Democrat will replace the next one, ad next one, ad infinitum.
Unfortunately, that's what happens in historically one-party states at all levels of their governments. Too often, people vote for a political party "letter" rather than policies of the candidate.
I was hoping Cuomo would say "I haven't been accused of anything different than what Biden was accused of.
Good, he needed to go.
He should have gone days ago but at least he went.
He pulled the last bit integrity he had out of his ass and did the right thing
I don't know NY politics and only know what I read yet it seems he was done.
I don't really care for him or his brother.
Those poor cuomosexuals in the MSM. Who will they worship, lie and coverup for next?
I don’t have a problem with him being forced out, but this is the reason? Not over thousands of avoidable Covid deaths, but over being a shitty, sex pervert of a boss. Neither is ok, but I think I would put up with the sexual harassment before I’d put up with death. Maybe that’s just me.
Everything, including impeachment, is still on the table, including the 15,000+ Covid deaths caused by Cuomo's actions.
Let's unpack Cuomo's words:
