Cuomo, who has been governor of New York for three terms, made the decision to resign as calls in the state legislature to remove him by impeachment, according to the AP.

Investigators said Cuomo kissed women, groped them or touched them inappropriately, made remarks about their appearance and sex lives, and as the New York attorney general said created a work environment "rife with fear and intimidation," the AP reported.

Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, who hales from the Buffalo area will become the state's 57th governor in about two weeks. She will be the first woman to be governor of New York.

Hint. Democrats running NY wanted Cuomo to go. Members of his own party. Democrats wanted Trump to go. Wrong damn party.

Biden had better hope Republicans aren't vindictive when they regain control of the House and Senate. Democrats lowered the standard for impeachment to nothing more than feelings. Pretty sure a good majority of Republicans really are starting to hate Biden.

Cuomo resigned after realizing he would be impeached.

From what I understand, impeachment is still a very real bipartisan issue being discussed in the NY state legislature, because the crimes (sexual, Covid nursing homes, obstruction, cover-up, preferential treatment for family/friends at the pandemic's beginning, etc) Cuomo allegedly committed occurred while he was governor.

The tide has begun to turn in some historically "blue" states. Cuomo has resigned, but still not out of danger of also being impeached for many alleged crimes. Newsom is losing his recall challenge.

Voters of both major parties are fed up with the left's advocacy of corruption, crime, censorship, Defund the Police, BLM, Antifa, CRT (renewed racial segregation), etc. which are promoted.

It was bipartisan pressure, and Cuomo finally realized that he had no other alternative.

I know it's CNN but see if you can find any republicans publicly speaking out about Cuomo:

I don't have a problem with CNN, but after looking at your CNN link, I find it interesting that none of the reporters mention US Reps. Elise Stefanik and Claudia Tenney or NY Assemblymen Will Barclay and Mike Lawlor and many more Republicans. They've all been outspoken against Cuomo's behavior/actions for well over a year.

On the flip side, the CNN articles glaringly omit Assemblyman Ron Kim (D-40), possibly because he's worked closely with Janice Dean, FNC's Senior Meteorologist, whose in-laws were among Cuomo's 15,000+ nursing home Covid victims.

Nixon once asked Sen Barry Goldwater how many not guilty votes he had in the Senate. Goldwater told him 4 and I'm not one of them.

That usually leads to a resignation. Like Nixon, Cuomo can now say, I was never impeached!

Lol.. Imagine trying to spin this as something to be proud of for Democrats. Yet another Governor belatedly resigns after numerous scandals!  Be proud!

Why not worry about voting for  a governor who won't have to resign in disgrace than patting yourself on the back for spending years supporting a corrupt, sexist bully who killed thousands of your residents and tried to cover it up?

The only good part of this story is that Kathy Hochul, a moderate, will finish Cuomo's term. After that, I fear that the likes of Letitia James will be running for Governor. Then we will all realize what this was about.

Unfortunately, that's what happens in historically one-party states at all levels of their governments. Too often, people vote for a political party "letter" rather than policies of the candidate.

I don’t have a problem with him being forced out, but this is the reason? Not over thousands of avoidable Covid deaths, but over being a shitty, sex pervert of a boss. Neither is ok, but I think I would put up with the sexual harassment before I’d put up with death. Maybe that’s just me.

During his announcement, Cuomo said, “I’m a New Yorker, born and bred. I’m a fighter and my instinct is to fight through this controversy because I truly believe it is politically motivated . I believe it is unfair and it is untruthful and I believe it demonizes behavior that is unsustainable for society,”  CNN   reported.

Let's unpack Cuomo's words:

  • He believes that Republicans were behind the push for him to resign. Doesn't he know that dozens in his own party agreed with Republicans? Obviously, not.
  • He believes that the women who accused him have been "untruthful" ; therefore, he believes that they are liars . What happened to the Cuomo who said, "I believe you" when it came to Kavanaugh's ridiculous accusers?

Memo to Cuomo:

  • Continue shredding incriminating docs, because bipartisan impeachment is still on the table.
  • Pack up - you have less than 14 days to haul your disgusting ass out of the Governor's Mansion.
  • Write another book. This time, discuss how horribly you've been victimized instead of telling everyone you're a "hero". You might sell more copies ... or not.
  • Apply for a job at CNN. Maybe you and your "baby brother" can be co-hosts once he comes back from his "long-planned vacation".
