Aamer Rahman (Fear of a Brown Planet) - Reverse Racism

A few years old but timely in light of current CRTDS eruptions. Pay particular attention to the last minute and a half.

The past matters.

Yep....to those who desperately cling to it, and  who are unable or unwilling to grow emotionally or intellectually.

The past matters.

Not nearly as much as the present, which is where we do things that can change the future....or...alternatively....it's where we wallow in emotional hysteria and don't change anything.

Yes but admittedly not till the very end.   What earth shattering revelation is worth watching it all the way through?

No problem, don't answer my question.

We are used to dysfunctional actions like that from some here.

There is no such thing as CRTDS. We've been told repeatedly for the last 6 years there is no such thing as TDS so this should be no different amirite?

LOL

Melanin is a natural pigment produced in living organisms. In human beings it determines skin color.

We all have melanin.  In other words, all people are "colored" people.  There is a scale from less melanin in the lightest skinned people, and much melanin in the darkest skinned people. But all have melanin.

So why, when the term people of color is used (used to be just "colored people" ), why are whites not included?

Because "white" skin is the assumed norm against which all others have been historically contrasted.

Maybe because white (nor black actually) are considered colors.

"Black and white are  not colors because they do not have specific wavelengths . Instead, white light contains all wavelengths of visible light. Black, on the other hand, is the absence of visible light."

"White" skin is a nickname. No one's skin is actually white, unless they dont have any melanin. That applies to very few people.

There is , in reality, no such thing as white skin color as a "norm". It was a social invention.

More progressive nonsense.

Not the biological facts but the application of them.

Unlike you, I can actually form complete sentences explaining why all racism is not the same.

Instead of making a comment that means absolutely nothing,  why not say nothing ?

In the literature world they call that fiction.  But, go ahead.  I'm in the mood for some comedy.
