The day is done
The NFC playoffs are set.
As predicted, the Cowboys, Seahawks and Packers all won their final games.
The Seahawks are the #1 team in the NFC, win the NFCW title and win the all important HFA
The Packers are the #2 team in the NFC, win the NFCN title and a first round bye.
The Cowboys are the #3 team in the NFC, the NFCE champion and host a first round game.
The Panthers, are the #4 team in the NFC, win the NFCS title and host a first round game.
The Cardinals, are the #5 team in the NFC, after leading the conference most of the year and have to travel to Carolina to play the Panthers in the first round
The Lions, are the #6 team in the NFC, the final playoff team, they have to travel to Dallas to play the Cowboys in the first round.
Dallas will be playing for a shot at the Packers at Lambaeu Field, the Lions will be playing for a shot at Seattle at the Clink.
The Cardinals and Panthers won't know where they are going until the Cowboys/Lions game plays itself out. Dallas wins they will be playing for a shot at Seattle, The Lions win they will be playing for a shot at Green Bay.
Good luck everyone
Questions,
Can the Cowboys beat the Lions at home and the Packers at Lambeau for another shot at the Seahawks? Or can the Cardinals or Panthers win in Seattle?
Yeah no doubt, they are all over the forums at NFL.com and Profootballtalk.com talking about how they are going to trash the Seahawks up here again.
But there is a problem, for three weeks now ever since the Seahawks beat the 49's at home, the NFL and sports networks have been telling everyone how the playoffs line up if the Hawks won out. the Dallas fans are STILL asking why they don't have the #1 seed since they won up here in week six.
It's been three weeks we have heard nothing but how it turns out and they still don't get it!
WOW!
They are definitely telling us. Lets see them take their 4-4 home record against the Lions next week and talk then.
The Lions I think would be the toughest team for the Hawks to get by two weeks from now.
Carolina opens as 4.5 point favorites over the Cardinals in the 1 pm game saturday.
Dallas opens as 6.5 point favorites over the Lions in the 4:30 pm game on Sunday
The Cardinals, considering the number of injuries, made the playoffs. I don't think that they can win in Carolina though. Great defense, but next to no offense.
Steelers are leading the Bengals 20-17 with 4 minutes left in the game. Bengals just intercepted Big Ben, this is getting good.
yep it definitely makes a difference on who gets the advantage next week.
Personally, I would like to see Seattle/Pittsburgh in the SB, but that IS a long shot.
The Cards didn't show that bad against the '9ers 20-17 loss Lindley got his first TD pass (chuckle) I think they wil give the Panthers a run for their money, but that Carolina defense is looking awesome...
Bengals just fumbled on the Steelers 29 yard line. Looks like the Steelers will win the game.
two minute warning down by 10, I agree it's probably a done deal barring a miracle.
The Boys don't have a great defense, it's been that offense that has been able to keep the defense off the field so they are rested. The second half of that game they played here we pushed them all over the field. If you can sustain drives the 'Boys defense becomes rather ordinary.
Golden Tate, We tried to make him the highest paid slot receiver in the NFL. But at the time we had Rice and Harvin as our #1 & #2 we just couldn't pay him #2 receiver money.
Everyone says that we let him go, we didn't, he decided to take the money and the opportunity to be an every down player, something he just wasn't going to get here at the time.
We are very happy for him and wish him all the best, they just don't get that he left here on very good terms. He's a great receiver and an excellent #2 opposite Megatron. Will be very interesting to see him against the Legion of Boom.
I hope they win and knock the cowgirls off their pedestal.
