There's a hostage situation happening at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas, that may be terrorist-related. Colleyville is in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Hostage taker is Muhammad Siddiqui and claims to be Aafia Siddiqui's brother. He is demanding her freedom from an 86-year prison sentencehttps://t.co/GpWtTQ7kOD.

Reports are that there are four hostages inside the synagogue, including the rabbi and three others. The suspect is believed to be armed. He also claims to have bombs cached in unknown locations. Part of the incident was caught on a live stream from the temple. The FBI and the Colleyville SWAT team have responded around midday.

While some networks are holding off on releasing the suspect's name, ABC has identified him as Muhammad Siddiqui. The suspect's sister is a known terrorist, Aafia Siddiqui, who was convicted in New York of trying to kill US military personnel. She is incarcerated at Carswell Air Force Base near Fort Worth, and he reportedly is demanding that she be freed. Authorities are allegedly talking with him now to see if they can resolve the situation.

Local residents in the area around the synagogue have been evacuated.

As this is a breaking story, RedState will provide further updates as they become available.

While some networks are holding off on releasing the suspect's name.

There are generally one of two reasons the media won't release a suspects  name in a violent attack: He/She is a minor..

Most often it's done to protect and provide cover for certain perps.

Number of murders in the USA totals ~24,000 per year of which ~50 are committed by Muslims. Rough numbers for sure, but, that leaves 23,950 committed by non-Muslims. 65% of the population claims to be Christians 65% of 23,950 = 15,567. Even if that's off by 50%, that's still 7,783 committed by Christians in the USA alone. It's almost like someone is trying to spin an anti-Muslim narrative.

Weird.

The first hostage was released unharmed around 7PM, a man, unharmed.

SWAT continues to communicate with a person fitting the description of Mohammed Siddiqui.

The poor upset and obviously unnerved Colleyville Police Chief just announced "live" that the Quantico Hostage Rescue Team

gained entry to the "Jew Synagogue" and eliminated the threat at 9:15 PM CST

rescuing three unharmed hostages.

Hoo Rah!

FBI just finished a much more professional wrap up.

So much for Red State, the attacker was no relation to the woman he sought to have released from a Fort Worth

prison.

1PM Sunday

The suspect, who died in the incident when an FBI hostage rescue team breached the synagogue, was identified on Sunday as Malik Faisal Akram, 44, a British citizen, according to Matthew DeSarno, the special agent in charge of the bureau's Dallas field office. "At this time, there is no indication that other individuals are involved," DeSarno said in a statement.

I guess that makes the thrust of the Red State article "fake news".
