WASHINGTON — U.S. President Joe Biden and Finnish President Sauli Niinisto met Friday in the Oval Office to discuss the situation in Ukraine but did not directly address the issue of NATO membership.

Finland is a "NATO Enhanced Opportunities Partner" like its Nordic neighbor Sweden.

Biden thanked the Finnish president for the country's help for Ukraine. "Finland is a critical partner to the United states, a strong defense partner, a partner to NATO."

The president recalled a remark he attributed to former president Barack Obama, under whom he served two terms as vice president, suggesting that world affairs might be best left in Nordic hands, eliciting from Niinisto the response that, "Well, we usually don't start wars."

Niinisto thanked Biden for the U.S.'s "leading in very difficult times."

Russian attacks in Ukraine continue even as U.N. General Assembly votes 141-5 to condemn them

Biden says Putin's war on Ukraine is making 'Russia weaker and the rest of the world stronger'

And how would you have wanted that meeting to go?

And how would you have wanted that meeting to go?

Depends.

Most Fox News watchers were very pro-Putin,

Up until recently.

Then they suddenly told their viewers to switch gears (after Putin's horrible atrocities were shown on TV).

I found this comment to be interesting (as well as true, BTW):

The president recalled a remark he attributed to former president Barack Obama, under whom he served two terms as vice president, suggesting that world affairs might be best left in Nordic hands, eliciting from Niinisto the response that, "Well, we usually don't start wars.

So what the hell did Biden promise him? He dropped the DOJ organization that was investigating the CCP's espionage in the US. He is selling out the Middle East to Iran to get more oil; even if it fast tracks Iran to nuclear weapons. He is promising Poland & Romania US fighters for free to replace Russian MIG's he wants donated to Ukraine.

Biden is the candy man; wherever he goes US taxpayers are left footing the bill; or in some cases (like with Iran & China) our security as well.
